I just started on MFP and the last couple days I have been under my calories, but over my protein and one day over my fat. Should I be more worried about hitting my calories or not going over the other goals?

Your doing fine. Just don't go over on the carbs and watch your sodium. The fat contents will still down if you watch your carbs.

As long as you are in (an appropriate) caloric deficit you will lose weight, regardless where you get your calories from. It's BETTER though, to get the right amounts of each carbohydrate, protein and fat. MFP has the protein set pretty low (IMO) and so it is definitely not going to hurt to be over, even way over on protein (as long as you aren't exceeding your calorie goal by much).

If you're just starting out, concentrate on hitting your calorie goal with nutrient dense foods and a well balanced diet. Remember that protein is good--it will help you maintain your muscle mass while dieting and it will help keep you feeling full longer.

When you're ready to get a little more technical---Quite a few people aim for at least 1g protein per pound of lean body mass or even more. Fat should be around 0.35-0.45g per pound of total body weight. You can go in and customize those goals if you want.:flowerforyou:

protein is not always a bad thing to be over on. thats what gives you your energy throughout the day. i would watch your calories and fat grams the most as thats what my bariatric doctor has me do.
