EDIT: The topic is wrong!! Hahaha I meant to say "NEEDS TO LOSE 70lbs" lololol
Hi there! =]
My name is Kaylyn, I'm 22 years old, going on 23. I've been smoking cigarettes regularly since the day I turned 18, and I work at Taco Bell. So needless to say, that's pretty much the only place I eat anymore. I'm always there! It will be one year in February that I've been working at Taco Bell. I'm also a vegetarian, for 5 years now. I'm not looking to get into any debates on vegetarians/vegans and all of that. Just hoping to find someone in the same boat as me trying to lose weight. I'm not in school, and I don't plan to go school either. I just haven't figured out my niche yet, I like a lot of things but not enough to rack up college loans for.
Recently I've lost 30lbs, and I honestly have NO idea how I did it. I found out when they weighed me at the doctors office. I was in shock. I never workout, and I definitely don't eat healthy. My guess is from stress, and lots of it.
Anywho! I'm looking to find a friend or a few friends to help me through the dieting process. My ex coworker is also looking to lose weight, so I'm gonna tell her about this site =]
Any questions, just ask

I want to quit smoking too, mostly because my doctor told me that smoking to damage your body to a point where it doesn't absorb the nutrients for your food the way ti should - and hell, I spend most of my food budget on expensive produce and I'm not trying to have my smoking cost me more money than it already is haha
Today I caved and bummed a cigarette from a friend - and I felt guilty about it until I decided that for every cigarette I smoke I'll do an extra 20 minutes of cardio in addition to my regular 30-45min. I know it doesn't undo the effects, but at least something good comes out of it. lol
Best of luck!0 -
Hey ladies I did this write up on the forums take a look
http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/367645-for-all-you-smokers-that-want-to-quit-for-good-read-this
I understand on the quitting smoking been there done that 12yrs ago! YOU CAN DO IT!
I gained my weight from quitting smoking 195lbs worth mainly for putting bad choices of food in my mouth to cure the cravings
check out the link above, its a better way to go, i wish i knew it when I stopped smoking my hubby did that method and worked for him
check it out any questions feel free to ask, also for losing weight I go by this personally
Here is tips I have for YOU yes YOU that are reading this!
females no less than 1200 cals a day
males no less than 1800 cals a day
why?
if you eat less your body goes into starvation mode which causes it to store which causes weight gain
3500 burned cals = loss on 1lb of fat
3500 cals = 1lb of fat put on
low carb is key my dietitian says 150 or less per day is a pretty good amount
Don't call it a diet just be wise on what you put into your body and treat yourself when you meet your goals
lean meats, red meat and taters 3-4 times in a 2 week period, whole grains keep you fuller longer, heavier meals in the morning, sodium no more than 2400mg a day, fresh fruit and veggies, don't drink you calories, 8+ glasses of water a day, stay away from junk food/fast food/processed food, treat it when you meet your goals, don't eat the samethings daily or do the same workouts or your body will plateau
you can do it! promise!
If you want to add me feel free, tho warning I am pretty honest when it comes to your food diary if you want some one to help keep ya in line, add me and good luck !!0 -
