Everyone does in the beginning. Try the small meals to see if it works for you. Everyone is different. :drinker:
  • Or you can do intermittent fasting and enjoy X number of significant meals during your feeding period that leave you satisfied and satiated while still meeting your caloric and macronutrient goals and stimulating fat loss and muscle growth/maintenance.

It all depends on what works for you. Losing weight wise it doesn't matter if you eat 6 smaller meals, 3 larger meals or even 1 huge one. It is a myth that 6 small meals speeds your metabolism.
However, some people find it is easier to control their food intake by eating more meals, other find they end up eating more. Figure out what works for you.
I don't think it is a bad thing to get wrapped up in calorie counting. If you mean you are trying to keep the calories too low, that could be a problem. You can try adding some extra calories and see how that works or play around with your meal size/timing. It's a bit of a learning curve and recognizing how your body works.

It depends on my day - sometimes I'm starving and snack all day, other times I'm good with 3 solid meals. I always start my day with a healthy breakfast that's at least 300 cal and I find that helps me get thru the morning (sometimes!)

Assuming you don't have any medical issues with blood sugar/etc, this is completely personal preference. Meal frequency will not effect your metabolism assuming we are comparing equal total intake of kcals and macros accross different frequencies/meal sizes.

Try 5-6/day and then try one or two big meals per day, while still hitting your end of day targets, and see which you prefer.

Note: If you try fewer and larger meals, you may need to give this a few days to adjust to the different frequency.

I'm a 'grazer" I have healthy small snacks all throughout the day.
