I wished I had that problem :D. A girl in our boot camp class does that issue and the trainer told her to try wearing two. It might help.

I wear two, a singlet with a shelf bra and then a tight shirt over all all them. Still KILLS me.

Get a compression sports bra. Nike makes them, I bought one by accident. :)

I've been wearing two bras for a year now, like you are doing now..you just have to find the right fit. The straps are the most important! Don't do the "spaghetti strap" EVER!

Rachmox - They look good but $40 is a little steep... would have to find a store that sells it and try it on before buying it! But thanks.

Lissypriss - Yeah I only own Ahh Bras and then Sports Ahh Bras as I do not know my size and don't live anywhere near a store that does fittings. Argh - so annoying!
  • You know spanx? Those pants that pull you in?
You can get them in a vest form pull those boobs right in!

I got a seriously good one at Old Navy. I have to fight my way into it and then tuck the girls up in it, but they don't move at all when I am jogging!

Just get a measuring tape and measure your size yourself!! If you google directions on how to measure your bra size, there are a ton of sites that tell you how to. The Ahh bras don't look that great haha. I wear Champion sports bras. I used to wear the cheap brands and they never worked right. Order Champion online if you don't have any sports stores near you...it really is worth it!!! Also, if you have a Marshall's or TJ Maxx near you, they usually have name brand sports bras for great prices.

Oh, sorry, I'm sure I didn't pay $40 for mine, it was probably on clearance! Old Navy had a commercial for compression shorts and tops, you could try there. I've been trying to get over there for something to keep my stomach from jumping when I do!

I've tried measuring myself and it says I'm a 18-20a... NO ONE stocks that size. I have looked.

If you think $40 is steep for a quality sport's bra that is probably your problem right there. Women with larger chests have to invest more in their bras.

Would you rather have empty pockets or painful breasts?

Did you say you are an A cup?

I agree with the other ladies here... try a different sports bra and wear one in a smaller size. That always works for me and I'm a 42 DD.
  • A girl on my softball team had DDDs so she wore 2-3 sports bras at a time....they still moved some but she didnt seem like she was in pain any more....

Wear your regular bra and a good compression sports bra. They make different level of support.

Try the "maidenform" brand of sports bra, THE BEST! I am actually having my insurance give me a reduction, only after I get down to a BMI of 25 which brings me to this site (im currently a BMI of 30). In the meantime, I have to try and lose in order to get the insurance to pay and I use maidenform brand of sports bra because any other brand hurts. Hope this helps:)

    1. I have a couple of ON sports bras...they are NOT worth the money. I am a little more well-endowed but I found that the ON bras basically do the same thing as a shelf bra for me - nothing. I will only wear those if I am doing yoga or some other low-impact exercise...and even then I wear a shirt with a shelf bra also.

    2. Agree about $40 not being too much to spend. It does seem steep at first, but it's totally worth the investment. If you really don't feel comfortable spending that much, look for some well-known brands on Amazon, or try an outlet store (Nike and UnderArmour both have one near me) and check if any local stores have big annual/semi-annual sales. I've got one near me that carries high quality stuff and I've gotten some really good deals at their sales.
  • Put a bra on, duct tape them down, and get going. Problem solved. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

If Pam Anderson could run in the sand in a bathing suit, you can do it too.

I have this problem too and I have tried all kinds of sports bras, I just have super sensitive breasts. Everybody is thinking about this the wrong way. Instead of changing your sports bra or wearing multiple sports bras, try changing your Cardio exersize! :) Dancing instead of running/jogging won't hurt your breasts and, depending on the dancing you do + assuming you do it right, you work out more muscles than you would during a run or a jog anyway. Thats what I did before my hiatus (eczema break out.. I am not aloud to sweat yet) and it is what I will be doing again. Belly dance is my personal favorite, but I love to dance bachata, salsa, merengue etc... I am also going to try to learn Punta. :):)

    Best of luck to ya!
  • Totally get it. But I found a company that specializes in fitting larger breasted ladies. I found an amazing one. It cost $80 Australian but is totally worth it. I realized I was using my traps and aching after a workout and with this one I just don't. Plus I feel a little less self conscious bouncing around.

I can't recommend enough googling around/asking for recommendations from friends to find a store that specializes in larger bust sizes, then getting fitted. It's a little confronting the first time but I would never buy off the rack (sorry) again.

For Aussies the place I went to is called Storm in a D Cup and they are super. I don't know about other countries.

    Good luck!

    Lilyx
