Any thoughts to what I can buy or make for a 12 yr old's bday party? Tomorrow night she's having 10 girls over for a slumber party. I originally thought we'd order pizza but I've done really good this week with calorie counting. Thinking maybe I could find a better choice than pizza for all of us. Any thoughts? Or maybe something fun they can make as a group for dinner as an activity.

Everyone make their own pizzas! Trader Joes sells dough you can cut into smaller sections for personal pizzas, or use a whole wheat pita or English muffins as a base.

Put out tons of part skim or fat free mozzarella, veggies, turkey pepperoni, whatever the kids like and let them build their own. Then you can control what you are eating and be really healthy and set those good examples while the girls have a good time making faces on theirs and being kids.
  • My girls enjoy making walking taco's because they can put there own stuff in the bags and plus get to eat out of a bag lol but guess my girls little bit younger. Have you thought about maybe asking her and seeing if she has any idea's she would like to do? that could possibly help.

What does she want? Honestly, it's her birthday and she should maybe have a bit of a say in it. That was what I most looked forward to as a kid!

If she wants pizza, then have them make their own. That way you can put what you want on yours and the kids can have what they want on theirs. Everyone would then be happy!
