Does anyone actually like 85% dark chocolate? I eat a square of 70% dark chocolate w almond butter daily, but I don't know if the chocolate's even worth eating at 85%.

Really? Ok I'll give it a try! How many squares do you eat a day?

I don't eat it every day, as I like savory more than sweet. I will eat a square of Ghiradelli midnight when I'm in the mood :D

I enjoy 1 square a day of Lindt 90%, it's the lowest in sugar I can find without artificial sweeteners.
  • I eat a few pieces of 85% dark almost every day. Sometimes more than a few. Perhaps you could try eating it on its own just to get a taste for the bitterness? I know bitter generally means bad, but I suppose it's like certain greens and coffee - an acquired taste.

bitter taste; maybe good with red wine
  • I eat usually 75%.. I like it bitter but with a tad of sweetness still. I buy the "snack size" bar that you'd get at the check out of a grocery store. It's Lindt and works out to 24 calories a square and the bar's pretty thin so even if I do go overboard and eat the entire thing its 180 calories, not too terrible damage wise. :)

Not a fan, I found it too bitter, 70-75% is the best IMO. I love Lindt Orange Intense and Green & Blacks Mayan Gold. Mmmmm!

Dark chocolate is DEFINITELY an acquired taste for most people, but it's worth getting there. A year ago, I couldn't stand anything but milk, but now I quite enjoy 70%. I haven't quite acquired a love for 85% yet, but it'll come. It's best with black coffee, in my opinion.

Have you tried the dark chocolate covered acai and blueberries from Costco yet? They are literally like crack. Thank God Costco's closed now, or I'd be making a special trip! lol

I had a piece of 85% Lindt tonight after more than 2 weeks without chocolate... it was divine, and just 30 calories :)

Oh wow, that sounds really good. What brand? Costco is an hour away from here.
  • 85% is ok sometimes but I prefer Godiva's 72% with almonds,
