Hello Ladies,
Are you getting married this coming fall and need some fitness buddies for extra motivation and support? I know I do!
I will be getting married on September 15, 2012 and I have comitted myself to losing 45 lbs! I'm down 3 only 42 more to go.
I have been doing the Zumba Exhilirate weigh loss program since Dec 27th and I just bought a groupon for Boot Camp Classes. I am determine to lose this weight for the wedding and beyond. But as most of you may know, it always helps to have extra motivation.
I like to start a group of other ladies trying to slim down for their wedding or any other special event. Let's share our highs and lows and everything in between this weigh loss journey.
The more the marrier!!

Hi vhenao!
I am also getting married in September 2012 - on the 28th! I have about 60lbs to ultimately lose to be a healthy weight - and I'm 7 lbs down as of today!
This last year, I started running, and have surprised myself by really enjoying it! But running alone wasn't helping me drop the weight, so that's why I jumped on MFP. It has been a great tool for keeping me in the calorie range I need. And, being a Boston girl, running has dropped off somewhat due to the winter (although, its been strangely warm lately so I've got a few runs in!), but I decided to make a major decision and get a personal trainer, so I joined the local Fitness Together. I've been with them (and MFP!) since mid December - I must say, that even though I'm not running as much, the strength training I receive from personal training has done me wonders. I have just discovered a pair of pants that fit me again, which I did a little happy dance for, and then promptly wore them two days in a row, haha.
I am hoping that calorie tracking stays with me for a long time - it is really helping me decide what to put in my mouth, and tracking before I eat it (especially out at restaurants, or fast food chains) helps me decide "if its really worth it". Even though i am working out with a personal trainer, I feel like calorie counting and watching the carb/fat/protein ratios (usually I'm a little higher on protein than I am on carbs, which is fine) are really the keys to weight loss success.
I'm looking forward to getting back into running in the springtime, and hope to run a half marathon at some point (maybe even late spring!) - because man, do I love a challenge. They are the things that keep me going, seriously. That, and MFP stats!
I am going shopping for a wedding dress for the first time on the 19th! I was really nervous and sort of bummed about the whole idea about a month ago, but now that I am starting to feel better and actually notice a difference, I am looking forward to it a little bit.
Feel free to add me as a friend!

Weigh to go ladies!!!
Let's do this!!
Ebuell4, I actually got my dress in mid December. It is a Size 12, it was off the rack and a very good deal. Only $498.00 it is a corset back so my goal is to be at least 2 size smaller by the time I go get my first alterations.
I think running is great! I been wanting to get back into it, but my knees can't handle it at the moment. I use to run 3 to 4 miles w.o. a problem and I am hoping to get back to that in the near future. Running is really a great way to get in shape.
Looking forward to hearing about your progress ladies!!0
