Hi,

I started my journey at 165lbs+ (not sure of the exact figure but I think it was around that if not more)

yay-1.jpg

I am now almost half way at 136lbs

yay.jpg

My goal is 105lbs but I want to see other people's results.. pics of people with a similar starting weight and people my height (5ft 3) that are close to my goal.. between 105lbs and 110lbs.

Thanks!!

With respect if you are aiming to be toned & fit not just skinny you should not be looking as low as 110...because your muscle will make your scale weight more. You should be looking now at turning fat to muscle so therefore using measurements rather than scale weight. You already look amazing..do you really want to lose all your womanly curves?

Im also 5'3 and im trying to get down to 135lbs. I started out at 172. I am now down to 147lbs. But I think you getting down to 105 is a little to skinny for you being 5'3. An ideal weight for 5'3 is between 120-135. I think you look awesome and you should just try and stay toned and not lose anymore weight.

I'm 5'2" and about 118/119 and feeling great. I'm trying to get to my pre-pregnancy weight of 115, but I'm much stronger and fit than I was before I had my son. You look great!

I am about 5'3" and right now I am aiming for 175. Was previously at 242 and am currently at 201.
135 seems so low to me (probably because that would be over a 100 pound loss for me) but that is what I have heard is "healthy" for someone our height.
Keep up the great work :)

I am 5'3''. I started out at 142 and am down to 139 hoping to get to 120.

I think you look great in your picture now! !!

I am going to see how I look & feel as I get closer to my goal & adjust from there.

106 sounds really tiny, but for someone as short as 5'3" it's still healthy. I think it's at the lower end of the healthy range, but I've been that weight before and I still ate plenty. Of course, that was back in high school, but still....

My goal is 130, just because I don't think I can maintain much less than that. My scale said I was 152 this morning. :) I started the journey at 165.

I agree the scales is just a number, you look fantastic as you are. I would concentrate on toning and building lean muscle now. I dropped a dress size with only 4.7 pound drop on the scales. It was the inch loss from toning that got me into a smaller size not the weight loss.

You look fantastic. I am not sure you would after another 31lbs. I am the same height or a tiny bit taller, around 140lb at the mo. I definitely could do another stone, anymore would not look great on me (but I am older). I think when I was younger, sigh, about 8 and a half stone was right for me.

I'm 5'3" and 124 lbs, 23% body fat. I'm wondering how you calculated your goal weight? Is it based on a specific body fat %? I would be more concerned with getting to a body fat goal than a weight. For instance, if I was 19% bodyfat, I'd look very lean but I would still weigh 119 lbs.

I would look ill at 105 lbs, not to mention how hard that would be. I have vacillated between 124-120 lbs for a year, trying to break below that level would require hours of strength training and a super clean diet, 7 days a week. I like to socialise and eat out once in a while, and I can only go to the gym 4 days/week, so it is not realistic that I will ever get below 120 lbs without more time to train and more commitment to eat clean.

One of my MFP friends is a figure competitor, she is 5'2" and when she was onstage competing, her weight was 112 lbs and 12% bodyfat. And she spent 2-3 hours a day working out to get in this shape!

Here's a photo of me at around 122 lbs:

(Profile pic) I am 5'3, weighing in at 129. My start weight was 165lbs. I have more pics on my profile if you want to check them out. I agree with others as 105-110 is fairly small, but if that is what you are comfortable with, then keep up the good work and keep pressing on. I think you look great now. Good luck!

It all matters how you hold your weight. I don't think 105-110 is too small for (some people) our height. I am 5'3.5", 110 pounds and 17% body fat. I started out in the 150's after I had my last son, by the time he was 18 months I was down to 105. I have since gained 5 pounds of muscle, due to heavy lifting and a good diet.

Check this link...my pics are there. I don't look anorexic, do I? I'm very small framed, so I think that has a lot to do with it.
