Make Up

I wear make up everyday & have done since I was 12, I hardly ever leave the house without it & when I was about 14 I ran out of make-up & refused to go to school, so my parents went out & bought me some foundation haha.0

I wear make-up most of the time. For work, just kicking back and going out. It makes me feel much more confident. I have very pale scottish skin so a bitof make-up makes me feel better about myself. My usual is - foundation, powder, blush, fill in eyebrows, light eye-shadow, liner, mascara and lip gloss or lipstick. Actually, writing it down does make it seem a lot of effort :laugh:0

I wear foundation whenever I leave the house and usually mascara because otherwise you can't see my lashes. I go through phases of wearing eyeliner but only subtly unless It's an occasion to get dressed up for.0

I wear make up every single day unless I'm sick. It's like brushing my teeth. I feel grubby unless I put it on.
I wear foundation, powder, blusher, eye liner and mascara every day. Lips just get a smudge of tinted lip balm for day time.
My skin is so white it's blue (Irish) so I need the foundation. And I just like how I look with the eye make up. People always say "oh you must be so insecure to wear make up all the time". No, I just realise that I look BETTER with it, and why not look my best every day?
I don't understand women who never wear make up. Most foundations have a built in light SPF too, so it even protects against some of the suns rays. I had a middle aged woman tell me that she never wore make up in her life as it ages your skin prematurely. What a load of bull!! My mother is 46, always wears make up and looks 35. This woman was 50, never wore make up and looked 60 (probably the 40 cigarettes she smokes a day). So don't give me that crap!! lol0 -
I wear mascara and face powder most days just because I dont want to look oily and I have blonde eye lashes. However, if I have a nasty break out I'll go totally make up free unless I go out and then I'll use a little concealer. But this is what I do: If I do my hair all cute, I will wear no make up. But if my hair is looking scraggly and crazy, I will put a little make up on.0

I think you might be my twin0 -
hmmm.. used to wear truly outrageous stage type makeup as a student... then none at all for about 15 years... once i hit my forties I found I felt better with a bit of eye make up, but don't tend to wear anything on my face as I think it can easily make you look older if you don't get it right... If I'm at home I never wear any... I'm also a performer again now though so sometimes it's full circle back to the OTT stage make up again! life is an interesting journey...0

I very rarely wore make up when I was a teenager but now I have to wear make up if I leave the house. Through years of practice though, I think I can make it look very natural. My skin is particularly bad at the moment so need quite a bit of cover-up and love applying eye make-up.
My mum always taught me that make-up done well should look like you're not wearing any, make-up, after-all, is designed to enhance what you have.0 -
Other then mascara I never really wear make-up. I mean if I get particularly spotty (never happens except once when I got very drunk several nights in a row) I will put on some foundation and obviously use transparent powder to stop it from ending up on anything my face touches (lol reminds me of a picture on facebook of a friend and her boyfriend, he had a nice orange print on one of his white shirt sleeves). I've trained as both a fashion and a media make-up artist and whilst I love experimenting with make-up I just find it horrible when people wear it non-stop. The amount of girls I know with "lovely" skin, which when you take a wet wipe to their face ends up looking like someone hit them in the face with a hard hairbrush is unbelievable. Sure foundation can cover up spots and that, but at the end of the day you're adding more dirt to open pores which you already know don't react well to dirt (since a large majority of spots on people are caused by dirt rubbing into the skin) you end up making it worse, one friend of mine went from getting spots every so often to looking like she's got acne (she hasn't) because she wouldn't not wear her foundation. I understand wearing it when you're going out for a reason (or having photos taken etc) but as a everyday thing it's not healthy for most people's (not all before someone comes to prove me wrong xD) skin. As I said mascara is my go to, I wear it if I ever leave the house or take photos (unless I forget which has happened more then once doh!) eyeliner, blush, bronzer, eyebrow pencil, whilst I understand the use of these for things like defining cheekbones and darkening natural brows because they're too light, personally I'd rather not use them unless I had that problem. Obviously I'll use them on other people, it's their choice not mine, but I find most people have a better natural look then they do with make-up. Oh and one last thing I hate, the tide line it seems everyone gets round their jaw where they put darker then their natural skin colour foundation all over their face, and leave their neck, it's so funny. xD0

I never wear makeup. I've never been makeup savvy (eye makeup is my nemesis) but I also feel that it isn't really "me"
My husband has always said he doesn't care if I wear it or not, so there's a males answer for you.0 -

Elizabeth Arden said that (well roughly not that word order) It's good advice to follow0 -
I'm not a huge fan of makeup on a daily basis. The only time I wear anything is on special occasions, and then it's just a bit of eye makeup and a mineral powder base.0

I wear make-up everyday (unless I'm not going out the house/no-one but family is going to see me) but it's very natural. A little foundation, blush and a bit of eye liner as it makes me look less tired!
My skin is very pale and quite uneven so it simply makes me look and feel better.
If I'm going out I'll make more of an effort with some eyeshadow, gel liner and mascara.
I don't think men really mind if you wear make -up or not, as long as you don't overdo it.0 -
I don't wear makeup that often at all. I wear it to work and if I'm going out somewhere, but even then it's usually just some foundation, mascara and some lipstick. If I could get away with it I'd wear none but I'm incredibly pale so my skin is unfortunately a little uneven/blotchy so0

I have crap crap crap skin and have done so for 27 years now - I don't even check the mail without make up!! (my life DREAM is to be able to go out in public, sans makeup and without scaring children and elderly people of a nervous disposition. Adding the fat wobbly bits does not help the overall look. Suffice to say that witn this combination I am no regular at the local pool.......0

I wear Bare Minerals every day to cover the redness and to give me a bit of a ‘natural’ looking base. I have my eye lashes dyed anyway so don’t worry about mascara every day but if I’m going out its big eyes and a bit of gloss.
So...
Everyday: Bare Mineral powder, lip balm and maybe clear mascara.
Going out face: Bare Mineral powder, dramatic eye make up and lip gloss.
But it always comes off before bed and face cream slapped on.0 -
Depends on how tried I am in the morning LOL. or where Im going. On a usual day I just put on a bit of eye shadow or something0
-
I don't wear make-up apart from nights out, or a special occasion.
Sometimes I wear mascara or a little foundation if I feel I look like *kitten* but most of the time I'm fine without it.0 -
I wear make up everyday.
Nothing dark, just natural colours.0 -
I wear makeup everyday because I am good at applying it. I think it's art...for your face. I have oily skin so I wear makeup so it's not so shiny.
I don't think there is a human on this earth who could not benefit from the proper application of makeup whether it be hiding a small scar or evening skin tone.
And weight has nothing to do with attractiveness or one's ability to get away with not wearing makeup. Being skinny doesn't make you more attractive, so much so that you can elect NOT to wear makeup just because you're "skinny."0 -
NATURAL LOOK!
Go easy with it.
I have never understood why some guys like a bunch of paint and goop all over a lady's face and why some women take makeup as a religion, so much so that they reach cosmetic saturation.
Lipstick? Eye Shadow? Pancaked base primer?
Are you auditioning for the circus?
Just my opinion, and you asked, but do yourselves a favor, and just lose some weight! take off the paint.
That's how you look good, and it's the real you.
Don't fault me for just wanting to like you and appreciate you as you truly are.:bigsmile:0 -
I wear it every day to work, and usually on the weekends. Sometimes on the weekends I will say screw it, and when we camp in the summer I usually skip it, too.0
-
I wear mascara and Burt's Bees tinted lip shimmer when I go to work. Sometimes when I have a pimple, like the one on my face right now that is so large it pulls small children and animals into its orbit, I will use a bit of concealer and powder.
I agree that too much make up is gross! I think I look a lot better with a little mascara and something on my lips, though.0 -
I wear tinted moisturizer, Chapstick and cocoa-colored eyeliner on a daily basis. On fancy occasions, I add a sheer lip stain and mascara... maybe some blush if I'm going to be in photos. I think I look better natural and unpainted. :-)0

Oh that is way too funny!0 -
I wear make up everyday - and yes I look better with it. Even if guys do not even notice the difference!
as far as skinny/thicker chick? guys pay attention to bodies for the most part *or I am just surrounded by a bunch of dogs* - I think we are giving guys FAR too much credit if we start believing if they actually take the time to categorize body types with make up wear...0 -
I wear make up pretty much every day, quite natural looking unless I'm going out for drinks, lunch etc!
Day to day I usually just wear: primer, foundation, concealer, loose powder, eyebrow pencil/podwer,mascara,black eyeliner, blusher, highlighter and a lip tint or gloss!
I believe most people look better wearing make up regardless of age or size0 -
I wear make up almost every day. I don't wear a lot, just enough to look presentable to the world. I am too old not to try and hide everything. Besides I am a Mary Kay rep and have to market the product!0
