Is too much protein not good?

everyday im usually under my daily cals, fat and carbs....but i just can't stay within the limit for protein.
seems everything i eat has some protein in it, and it adds up fast! i usually run 20g - 85g over on my protein. is this bad?

The default protein goals setting for myfitnesspal very low, if you get 1g per your lbs of body weight you should be ok and a little more won't hurt you. I have my goals set for 40%protein, 30%carbs, 30% fat, and I have seen other members set that as a healthy goal as well.0

i just looked at my daily allowance for protein....no wonder i have problems stayin within the guideline....iam only allowed 53g of protein a day. seems awfully low huh?0
