So since I started my diet alittle over a week ago, ive been having nightmares. I really dont believe it has anything to do with my diet. But i must say it is very odd. And on top of it I get no sleep, i never toss and turn in bed and i wake up with my blankets wrapped tight around me by morning... Im not sure what to do +(

I believe that dreams are a way of your brain working on stuff that is concerning it (good and bad). Are there any stressors in your life that are new?

I agree, it's probably not related too heavily to a diet change, unless you've introduced some odd foods that might be bothering your digestion.

You may not feel stressed but your body might be stressing a little bit due to the diet change. I almost never feel stressed, but my body sure let's me know that I am. It could also be built up stress
  • My son has extremely restless sleep and sometimes nightmares when I know he's hungry, thirsty, or hot. I also put him in 100% cotton PJs so he doesn't get too hot and if it's a night where he'd barely eat dinner then I sometimes give him a snack when he keeps waking up. Maybe you're not eating enough throughout the day or not spreading your calories out enough so that your body can use the nurtients appropriately.
  • Could be many things but I have 2 options. 1- Is your heat turned up more lately due to it being colder outside? For me it seems like when I turn the heat up a bit I get nightmares and 2- It could be the neurotransmitters in your brain are just learning how to act differently now that they are getting more endorphins and other brain chemicals that get released through exercise.
