I don't like chocolate that much anymore

So this is a kind of weird one, I have read about people taking magnesium supplements to deal with chocolate cravings but I have never been someone with very strong chocolate cravings in general so I figured I just liked chocolate normally.

But since I started taking a multivitamin regularly (which by the way is not at all high in magnesium, 19% RDV) I have been pretty indifferent to chocolate. To the point that now that I've realized it I pretty much always choose a non-chocolate option when I go for a sweet.

Anyone else had this happen? This is not because I started eating "healthy" or "clean" or anything. I eat dirty. I eat directly off the floor even.

WTH!??! Not like chocolate anymore. That's just weird. You should get checked out for that. Maybe you are running high in testosterone or something. I mean, it's chocolate. Come on. What about them cookies that were staring you down last night, your friends?? Did they have chocolate in them!?!? I dunno if we can be friends anymore....this is just so....weird. :D

it is actually EXACTLY the way most guys i know seem to feel about chocolate - my closest guy friends like it OK, are fine with eating it, but don't really crave it and tend to chose other flavors or a base non-chocolate flavor with just a bit of chocolate in it. Like mint chip sounds really good to them but chocolate chocolate chip doesn't.

I KNOW its crazy, Idon't even feel like ME anymore!
  • I love chocolates, but I always go for non-chocolate options whenever I get something like cake, cookies, ice cream, etc. For some reason adding chocolate to that stuff makes it too sweet for me! But, give me some Fannie May's and I'll eat the crap out of them.

Also, the ad on my side just popped up to advertise Gevalia chocolate coffee, which I found extremely fitting.

Unfortunately, I don't have much to contribute, except:

    a) I take a multivitamin (with a little magnesium in it) and I freaking love chocolate. Dark chocolate. With almonds. And a little sea salt.

    b) I also eat off the floor. 5 second rule!

Oh, this reminds me! Has anyone ever had chocolate caramels with sea salt? They are DEVINE. Seriously my favorite type of chocolates out there.

i had a box last year and I loved them, but thinking about them right now makes me feel :ohwell: -- they sound really sticky and sweet. AUUUGGHH there is totally something WRONG with me.

I don't, like, know you or anything, but I'm kind of worried - you're taking a multivitamin instead of eating chocolate caramels with sea salt. I would reconsider your life choices.

All joking aside, I'm so jealous of you and your new chocolate aversion.
