Fruit and Veg

Hi all
Im coming from Weight Watchers where you could eat as much fruit and veg as you like without including it in your daily allowance, so I'm used to just munching it whenever I'm hungry.
Now that I'm using MFP and I have to include it in my daily calories, I'm wondering how much of an impact it will have if I go over my calories (or carbs ) by eating too much fruit?
This is all very new, and I'm sure I'll adjust with time, but I think this is the most major change that I'll have to adapt to at the moment!

A calorie is a calories is a calorie. The simple rule is that as long as you eat at your MFP goal (which is a deficit) then you will lose weight. You could lose the weight eating french fries and hamburgers or you could lose it eating fruits and veggies. If you are over your calories, chances are you won't lose weight. I see where WW was coming from, in trying to get people to eat more fruits and veggies, and in all honestly, most people could follow the new WW Points Plus plan, eat all of the fruit they wanted to, and still lose weight. However, there are a number of people on the boards here who had success with the old WW, but could not lose weight with the new program and so they switched to MFP. You can still focus on eating a lot of fruits and veggies, since they are less calorie-dense and the fiber will help you stay full, but make sure you focus on calories.0

No, a calories is not just a calorie. Fruits and veggies are definitely calories worth over a donut or something equally terrible. I would just watch how many carbs you're taking in. It's incredibly hard to overdo it on carbs when considering vegetables, but fruits are whole different story. Fruits, although natural, still have a lot of sugar and eaten in excess can hold you back. I won't go on and on and on about it, but I hope this little snipit helps a little:0)0
