Hi Ladies!!! Hope you all had a great weekend!

Yesterday was an off day for me but I still watched what I ate and swam with the kiddos... my weight is back on track which is nice... down 3 pounds! I'll be checking in later today! :glasses:

    I'm checking in with 20 minute Cardio today. I started ChaLean Extreme yesterday and today I am SORE! I had to take it easy today, as all I really wanted to do was not have to move. But, I made it through the 20 minutes!

    Erika, congrats on starting CE! I'm in the push month now and loving it! I've never had any upper body strength before, and it's just so cool to see definition in my arms now! Yesterday I did Push circuit 2 and a 45 min run/walk. Today is CP2 and some abs...I love the CE ab workouts too! Have you tried them yet?

    Thanks Amber for starting the thread this week.

    Well after about a month of not counting cals but still exercising (except this last week due to my injury) the pounds are creeping back on :grumble: I really haven't been eating well at all so I can't really cry about it cuz I know it's my own fault. I'm hoping to get back on track this week.

    I did go jog last nite. First time since the car accident, no pain but I definitely didnt have the endurance that I had worked up to. I also found the muscles in my injured leg lacking in flexibilty. I wont be doing TJ today but definitely have it scheduled for tomorrow.

    Well this morning i got up late because i forgot to reset my alarm from the weekend :angry: so no exercise for me.

    i am going to do ab jam tonight before dinner though. then i am going to watch turbo sculpt and do that one tomorrow morning.

    how often do you all do the more muscle toning videos (turbo sculpt, 3T, etc) as opposed to the cardio? i really want to be building muscle as i lose the weight, and the cardio videos are great but my muscles are not usually sore afterwards.

    so i will need dumbbells for that one then? i wonder if it could be done with resistance bands? :)

    Yeah you need the dumbells... resistance band wouldn't do... sorry!!!! Fortunetly though I don't think they are very expensive! I bought mine a long time ago so I'm not to sure how much they go for now? :happy:

  • Good morning friends,

    Did ab jam last night, it was tough!

    Then turbo sculpt this morning wit 5# weights...it was tougher!! lol my muscles were shaking, heart pounding, sweating!! and i did it at 4am so i didnt eat before, afterwards i was all nauseas and yucky feeling, so i ate some banana and i felt better.

    I think i will do sculpt 2x a week until i build up more tone and endurance!

    Good Morning All,
    Miss you all terribly but really glad to see all are still at it!!! Yea for us!!:drinker: :drinker: (that's crystal lite btw, HAHAHA)

    Been trying some different things b/c I am so tired of the stupid ponytail!! Uh oh, vanity is rearing her ugly head - Trimmed my hair after 5 months of pony and freshened up the color. The quandry is when I work out in the AM before work my hair is truly soaking wet and I don't have the time to "fix" it - hence the ponytail. So now I'm doing Ab JAm, strength training in the am- which doesn't sweat me out nearly as much and saving the cardio for the pm. I don't care for the switch up too much - I was lovin having the w/o done for the day , you know? But DH feels and is acting like he's got a new woman... one with hair., LOL,... around the house so that's kinds cool. scale hasn't moved really - 163.8 - 2 weeks running but that's ok. Maybe the goal change plus w/o switch will help. It shook me up enough to knock me off that plateau a couple of weeks ago.

    Hang in there my friends and please take care of yourselves!!

    im sure the rest of my body will equally sore tomorrow from the turbo sculpt. how long did it take you guys to feel like you werent dying while doing the sculpt? lol

I'm up to 30 lb dumbells on squats which is cool...I could go heavier, my legs have always been really strong, but I can't hold the dang things yet! :laugh: I used 20 lb dumbbells on the chest press today...which really excited me, I've never had any upper body strength, my arms have always looked like limp spaghetti noodles hanging off my shoulders. :tongue:

    I did Turbo Sculpt yesterday and it's still a tough workout but I started with 3 lb weights, built up strength and now do 5 lbs and it's not to bad!

    Good job on your ab work!!!

    I'm checking in with Burn #2. Wow, I will definitely be sore tomorrow in the legs. I'm starting to think I have better upper body strength than lower! We'll see how tomorrow goes!

    Thanks Amber! :smile: In the Push phase we only do 6-8 reps of each exercise...so it's pretty short, but still painful! :tongue:
  • Checking in today with turbo sculpt and 20 min. workout... I worked out this evening instead of around lunch time and it was really nice. I seemed to sweat a lot more tonight than during the day?

    Checking in with Burn Intervals and Ab Burner today...whoa, this is getting intense!

    Megan, I can't wait until I'm to the Push phase...I'm sure it only gets better the further I go. Is this your first run through the program? Do you think it's something that you need to keep repeating after the 90 days? I'm wondering if I can still do my strength training 3x week after I'm done with the 90 days to give myself a little break from it and maybe pick it up again a few months later...

    Megan - 30lb dumbells !! I can't even imagine how good that must feel!!! I normally use 5lbs and do 12-16 reps. When I push myself i'm using 10lbs and that really really makes my arms shake - when doing squats though, that's totally different - my legs are waaaayy stronger than my arms. Right now I'm changing the positions on my resistance bands to make it harder and I've started using a heavier band than the one than came with my TJ package .... I don't have anything heavier than 10lb dumbells. I can't wait til i get time to try the CE program, maybe in the next month or so after things settle down at work - it's construction all over the place, LOL , and I seem to come home with a cloud of drywall dust all over me. My desk is a nightmare.
    Overslept this morning but on for PK & J + Ab Jam after work. I am so not used to logging in so few cals/day - it's been a light week for me... and I seemed to have developed a crush on JIF peanut butter!
    Bad combo~ I'm walking around the house like "Joe Black" or something with a spoon in my mouth:laugh: My w/o is def on the agenda for tonight, hopefully i can redeem myself:smile:

    Tomorrow will be 1 mth since I started TJ and I love it and I'm definately seeing results! My arms are leaner, my tummy is flater and my butt dimples are going away hehe, sorry had to throw that in :embarassed:

    You're doing so good also, keep up the great work and I hope your desk gets cleaned off soon hehe! Even 10 lb weights is incredible... 5 lbs is all I can handle right now so great job on the weights!!!

    I love BI and Ab Burner...it is intense!!! Today I did Burn it Off and Fat Blaster. I really like the Push phase...and yes, it's my first time through. I think I might try going through it one more time after this to see how much more weight I can lift...it's addicting! :laugh: I know in the book that comes with it it gives a maintenence plan, but I haven't really looked at that yet.

    Janet, great job as always...I think you'll love CE when you get it! And I must confess, I'm becoming a PB junkie too! :blushing:

  • Today is my 1 month mark for TJ! Woo Hoo! :drinker:

    I did 20 min. workout this morning... I'll be doing turbo sculpt later on today. It's the last day of school for my girls so my routine might switch up a little but I'll still get my workouts in!

    I am new to posting on here, but I love TJ. I have been doing it off and on for a couple of years, and it really works.

    I am logging my workout for today.
    20 minute, and Ab Jam.

    Hey Family,
    Missed my w/o yesterday!! Having a dog issue at home:cry: One of my little one's is really sick and had to rush back to the vet last night. Up late w/ him and DH, slept thru the alarm but did manage to get to the office on time. He's scheduled for a blood transfusion either today or tomorrow and I am really just "off". My eating hasn't been too off track so I can be grateful for that. He will be spending the nite at the vet tonight so rather than sit and be miserable I am definetly going to do my w/o - if nothing but 20min and ab jam. Exercising is such a great stress relief ~ as well as being good for me.

    Glad to see all are well and everybody's taking care of themselves.
