Any vegans in the house?

Help me - I'm bored of food. I am a dietary vegan. (basically I am a vegetarian but I don't like milk, dairy products or eggs). Since I have been on MFP, I have really reduced my carbs and stodgy foods like potato and pasta, but this has left my diet rather limited to tofu, vegetables, fruit and soya yoghurt. Perhaps I am just craving carbs, but I am feeling a bit bored with the food I'm eating.
If any of you are vegan, please give me some ideas!!

hi just sent you a message, I thought I was commenting here... anyways I wanted to also share my go to tahini sauce that i put on everything from steamed vegis to salads to baked tofu and stir fries.... so delicious and tahini is really good for you. so here gos-
(not sure on ratios got to play with desired consistency) depending on how much u want to make ( i make a jar full and keep it in fridge it keeps for weeks) add a few lrg spoonfuls of tahini (1/2 cup or so) a few small cloves of garlic and a small peice of ginger. tbs or so of lemon juice or apple cider vinegar, very small amount of braggs or good soy sauce ( u can adjust at the end for desired saltiness) a pinch of cayanne pepper and dash of maple syrup/ agave or honey and adjust to taste and water to adjust thickness... this sauce is my fave i eat it every week, i even coated raw kale in it put it in my dehydrator and made kale chips my garbage eating 15 year old macked.
if you have a food processor u can make your own fruit nut balls that r great for sweet snack instead of buying expensive treats from health food store. Medool dates, dried cherries, dried cranberries, hazelnuts (pre-ground before adding fruit) and cacao nibs rolled in to a ball and dusted with more ground nut powder and nibs or any variation of dried fruit with medool dates really for a great sweet treat and lots of antioxidants. any ways i hope this is not too much info. i have so much more... good luck0 -
That recipe sounds yummy. I usually make my own hummus using tahini and chick peas. Just one thing though - I live in the UK and I am not sure what Braggs sauce is?0

You should get the book "Veganomicon." The possibilities are endless! Also, have you tried tempeh?0

I will look it up on Amazon - thanks!0 -
I would also check out www.fatfreevegan.com, she has wonderful recipes that are usually pretty easy to make and are good for you. Let's put it this way, I have about five different cookbooks at home but most everything that I make ends up coming from her website!0

Braggs is a Liquid amino, soy sauce alternative not sure if they sell it over there but any healthy soy sauce will do, like shoyo or nama. if u can find braggs its worth it. they do have a website not sure if u can order it but it is a great healthy choice0

I'm vegan. If you would like to friend me, my diary is able to be viewed by my friends. I rarely eat out, eat VERY little processed foods, and cook almost every day. I love trying new dishes and I feel being vegan is anything but boring.
Do you eat beans/legumes?0
