My boss bought us lunch today...

So my boss wanted to thank us for all of our hard work today, so she ordered 4 pizzas from Papa Johns, brought in cupcakes and brownies. The only problem is the food table is right next to my desk!!! How do I keep from giving in to reaching for a delicious slice of pizza or cupcake every time I walk by?!

Think about how that cupcake or pizza is going to look on your butt and hips long after you can't taste it anymore. It only tastes good for a few seconds but you will have to work a long time at the gym to make it disappear off of your body. Try thinking of that before you take that bite. That is what I do and it usually works

visualize yourself entering the items into your food log. you will be so pissed at yourself.
imagine you eat it and type it in.
watch how it ruins your day --0 -
Ask them to move it. I would.0

Or better yet, PUT IT IN YOUR FOOD LOG. See what that does to the rest of your day!!!0 -
I do this alot. I can always erase the items if I don't eat them. It feels good to delete an item that you talked yourself out of.0

Think of how much EXTRA time you will have to spend exercising to burn the calories of 1 300cal slice of pizza... for me, thats 30 minutes EXTRA on the eliptical... NOT WORTH IT! Pop in a piece of gum and drink your water. You are strong!0

I have a diet buddy at work. Her and I support each other whenever there's fattening foods lingering around the office.
Also, we have a rule where we have to tell the other person we're going to eat the fattening food before we eat it...In the hopes that this will dissuade us from actually eating the item.
And then if one person decides to eat the item, they tell the other person whether it was “worth” it. So for example, someone bakes cookies that are awesomely delicious that might be worth the splurge. So we make sure to tell the other person if it is or isn’t worth it.
It may sound silly…but it works for us, especially around Christmas, Easter, Halloween, or when clients bring in donuts.
