Do you have a problem eating TOO MUCH healthy food?

I don't really eat junk food, but I love to eat healthy food. I usually eat too much of it.
My problem isn't changing my diet, but changing quantities. I figure - hey, it's salad! I'll eat MORE!

Anyone else have this problem?

yes, I am trying to gain weight and I noticed watching other people eat that I don't tend to add extra stuff to my food. for example, when I eat an apple now, I always try to eat it with peanut butter - it adds a lot of calories =D with salad, I try to add more nuts, dressing, eggs, and meat.

(FYI this is my first post in these forums. I'm relatively new and an infrequent user.)

That's been my problem for a very long time! Though I would go through baking phases and just not be able to stop eating, they would always be organic/vegan lol

But aside from that, portions when it comes to healthy food was my biggest obstacle; i figured it's healthy so I can eat as much as I want. I measure almost everything I eat now, so I know that I am eating a lot of one thing if it is more than a cup. I've adjusted pretty well, but it still is tempting.

    Good luck!

Yep I do! I do occasionally eat junk food...like today but, for the most part I eat healthy food...just too mcuh of it!!
  • I TOTALLY have this issue!! I have never had much of a sweet tooth, but I overeat on all lean proteins and veggies/ fruits. I am notorious for having my PERSONAL bill at a sushi restaurant to be over 100$. I started by portioning all my meals, and I make myself chug at least a glass of water with benefiber 10 minutes before my meals so I feel more full before. I also make sure not to eat in the kitchen, or bring an entire bag of carrots to the couch otherwise I know I will eat them all. But usually once that fiber hits your belly it should help at least decrease your appetite, the rest is simply habit or not truly listening to our bodies when we are full.

That's a great idea to chug benefiber before a meal!
I'm glad I'm not alone in this battle.

I don't think I am capable of eating too much fat or protein. However with carbs, fruits and starchy vegetables don't bother me, but those that come from wheat I could eat endlessly. Non-starchy vegetables I can eat quite alot, but its difficult to overeat since they have such a small amount of calories.
