I always find myself saying I'll begin tomorrow... I'll start next week... I'll start on Monday... Yet I keep returning to the same eating patterns. I desperately want to lose but I can't seem to overcome this cycle. Any tips?

Plan meals ahead, take portable snacks with you, just jump in and do it!!!

    For you and your health.
  • I found that once i got moving or to the gym i loved it...its tough..todays day three for me after a month of ill start tomorrow. I found that writing a schedue for the week and hanging it on the fridge worked. when i accomplished the daily goal i checked it off...and start slow..going from the couch to 10 minutes of exercise is a step in the right direction...
  • Word, I do the exact same thing. I was on a roll with this site for quite a while and I fell off the wagon hard for over a month straight. I made a brand new page today, the same day I got back on the wagon. Starting fresh. I'm so mad at myself!
This time I wont fail. NO MORE CHEATING. The only person we lie to is ourselves.
There is no tomorrow. It's today.

start right now....this minute. When I eat a piece of cake, then some icecream, then a cookie..........as soon as I realize what I am doing......... right then I STOP and make a concious decision to eat better.

I actually think to myself, or out loud:

From this moment forward I will eat healthier.

(I want to add I am not talking about a slice of cake-we need to eat and enjoy life, I am talking about when I lose control and start to slip back into old habits)
