Half-I've only raced one, & it was way back when I 1st started running again. Now I run long slow training runs faster than that race.
Full-4:01:14 ugly race, hit the wall, happy to finish.

I'm working on my times and I'm really hoping to get fast as I lose more weight. I used to run a 6 min mile when I was in really good shape... Now, I'm just hoping to be able to get it back down to 7 min mile.0 -

Half Marathon - Last one: 2:07:24 (Spring 2011; hilly course) ... I believe my PR for a half marathon is 2:05:XX but that was a few years ago and the course was flat.
Full Marathon - 4:18:01 (Oct 2011; 9:51min/mile) ... I hope to improve upon this pace this Spring.0 -

Yesterday I ran a 5k (a course I was told was unlikely to PR on because it was narrow and hard to pass people, and parts of it were "off road"). Guess what?! I PR'd. My new best 5k time is 33:55. I realize for most people that is pokey but I am so proud of myself!0

Not completed a Halfie yet but hoping to complete one later in the year- Anyone take on obstacle runs:
Yorkshire Spartan sprint: 1:12:22 That wall at the end added a clear 8 mins on my time- I just kept falling and dying lol!0 -

Way to PR! Whatever your best times are, whether "slow" by comparison to some of these mega athletes or not, are your own best times and by beating them over time, race after race, eventually you may become one of those mega atheletes without knowing it0 -
