I love spinach too I put it in everything ... Can't be bad for us.... Can it?
  • anything is bad for you if it is the only thing you consume or dont have in moderation.

    Even water.

    Moderation in everything
  • Whenever I get a craving like that, I figure it's my body telling me that I am deficient in some kind of vitamin or mineral. IMO - go with it. It'll end soon, and you'll want something in addition to it. I do each spinach almost every day, but that's not all I eat. Good luck!

It actually contains lots of Potassium.. which is awesome as long as you aren't on a potassium restriction and your kidneys are working fine. I say if you don't meet the aforementioned restrictions, EAT UP! :)

Too much spinach creates an increased level of oxalates in your body which can create problems. Just alternate greens and you will be fine.

It doesn't look like you are eating too much spinach from your diary, but you should be eating TO your calorie goal (eg- being under 500 calories like you are at the moment is NOT good) but that one serving of spinach at Lunch doesn't look too bat.
  • Add some protein with it and a nice low glycemic carb, like blueberries, 1/2 sweet potato - BAM - fat burning meal!

Spinach has been shown to have a fairly high level of pesticide residue and ranks 58 out of 100 according to research conducted by the Environmental Working Group. I strongly advise that you only use organic spinach, which is easily found at most grocery stores.
