I am curious if anyone has done the b12 shots?
What about the body wraps?
What about the body wraps?

B12 shots are for people who lack a chemical in their stomach that allows them to absorb B12 before the digestive enzymes destroy it. Those people can't take B12 pills. Because doctors could charge for the shots every month, some used it as a source of steady income, having people come back every month. Very few of them actually needed or benefitted from it. If you don't eat animal products, you need to take a B12 pill, but it's in all animal products like meat/poultry/dairy/eggs/fish etc.
Wraps that make you sweat will cause a temporary loss of body water weight, but that comes back as soon as you eat some sodium and consume something with water in it. Meanwhile, any time your body is overheated, it is lowering its metabolic rate to try to generate less heat. You're actually losing less real weight because of being overheated artificially.
If you want to sweat, do exercise. You'll lose the water/sodium AND burn the calories. Win/Win.0 -
I have to take B12 injections due to Crohn's at the ileum. I would gladly take the pills over the injections if able, because scheduling another medical appointment on top of the normal ones every month sort of sucks.0

Have you talked to your doctor about learning to give yourself shots? Lots of people do.0 -
I know they offer these in medi-spas now. I tried it once and never again! The main reason is because it didn't give me the energy it claimed to do. But the other reason was because it was extremely painful! I had no idea that they had to inject it into your muscle. I was sore and stiff for a few days after, even with the their recommendations. I take B12 supplements and I actually see and feel a difference.0

And I assume the body wrap you are talking are the kind to lose weight and not for skin enhancing reasons? That is water weight you lose. The same results can be done by taking a water pill or simply drinking more water to flush out your system.0

B12 doesn't give you energy. The symptoms of too little B12 are 1. an unusual anemia with very large blood cells, 2. and damage to the nerves, especially the ones in the spinal cord that control sense of touch/position. If the doctor doesn't catch the anemia on a blood test, the first sign may be difficulty walking and balancing. But even if the anemia is severe, the thing people usually complain of is getting out of breath more easily, not feeling tired when they're sitting in one place.0

I had to get weekly B12 shots for about three months due to a raging B12 deficiency last year. Once my levels regulated, I was able to switch to a daily pill.
That, combined with four to five hours of exercise per week, has done wonders for my energy. But B12 shots aren't the magic weight-loss elixir some people are touting them to be.0 -
I don't know — I got my diagnosis when I went in for chronic fatigue.0

I am giving myself b12 shots along with the b12 pills at the instructions of my neurologist and rheumatologist. I have not noticed that they help me at all with weight loss. I have to have a prescription for the b12 shots.0

If your B12 was so low you needed shots, yet you're physically capable of digesting pills now, you may have been deficient in a lot more than B12.0 -
I go for weekly B-12 injections at Medi. Since I am taking my weight off via an extreme low carb way of eating, I feel it is a supplement that my body needs. It doesn't hurt (the Techs are very gentle) and I do notice an increase in my energy level. These are included in my fee. It's the B-6 that are optional and burn like heck! I don't get them much.
Never had a body wrap. Not really interested, as what I am doing is working for me.0 -
Maybe — but I think the shots were just a way to deal with the deficiency quickly. But yes, I seem to absorb B12 fine, which is great, because weekly needles the require a prescription are THE WORST.I don't know — I got my diagnosis when I went in for chronic fatigue.
