I learned a good idea from some older ladies I know, and just tried it.
1. Take your old and wrinkly apples (those ones that your children reject now that they're not shiny and crisp), and quarter them.
2. Core them, leave the skin on or off (I left it on), and then slice them in half again (8 pieces to each apple).
3. Spread them on tinfoil, throw a little cinnamon on top
4. Bake for about 90 min on 300 degrees. I think if I`d baked them more they`d be crispier.
They`re SO yummy. These can stay on your counter, as great `grab and go` snacks. Or put them in kid`s lunches (will go into my lunch). No added sugar at all! AND... didn`t throw out the `reject`apples!
