To lose a pound per week we are to eat 500 calories less per day, burn that many off or a combination of both. If my BMR is 1180 and I burn 2-300 everyday, how many calories am I supposed to be eating to lose weight? Im not losing, sometimes even gain even when my net is less than my goal! Am I not eating enough? Anybody have an idea of what I'm doing wrong?

If you put in your goal in this site, it automatically calculates how many calories you have to eat to lose the weight. Do not subtract an additional 500 calories from what the website has already done for you. When you burn that extra 200-300 calories, you can eat that back, which you should, to get as close to the goal the website has given you. Some days you'll go under, some days you'll go over, but as long as you average out about the same (with healthy eating) you'll lose weight.0

Thank you! I didn't think I should eat the calories I burned. Thought that would reverse all my work0

The program should be telling you how many to eat each day. Mine started at 1240 but I changed it to 1100 because I wasn't eating more than that. I noted zero on the exercise part. I am losing although I do have days when I don't lose for 3 or 4 but then I start losing again. I make a point of noting everything even the sugar free life savers or crystal light.0
