Recovery without laziness?

Hi everyone, I have a question about muscle recovery I'm hoping you can help me out with!
Yesterday I had my first wadaiko practice for the first time in three months. Wadaiko is a very active type of Japanese drumming that includes dance-like movements. It's very high-energy and very taxing on the whole body, ESPECIALLY when you're out of shape like me!
My quads, biceps, and forearms are especially sore. I rolled out my legs this morning with my foam roller and that definitely helped, but sitting at my desk all day at work (of course I get up now and then) has NOT.
I know I need to let myself recover so it doesn't lead to injury, but I want to burn some more calories today if I can. What kind of gentle aerobic exercise can someone do when they are very sore? Should I just take the night off? Any help/suggestions are much appreciated!

yoga is good because it stretches the muscles. a thirty minute walk wouldn't be to bad either.0

Take the night off but keep up with the stretching!
Also have you ever thought about taking a BCAA supplement?
It helps with recovery.0 -
I've not heard of BCAA supplements, but after looking them up, I'm not sure I can get my hands on them where I live (Japan). Is there a similar food alternative that you recommend?0

BCAA (Basic Chain Amino Acids) are found in the foods we eat. There are only a few that you can't get from diet if i remember correctly.
There is this website called www.amazon.com they will send you pretty much anything, you should try it out.0 -
Plenty of red meat in japan!
Great source of BCAAs are meat or any type of high protein food.
The perk of having it in a liquid form is faster amino recovery to damaged muscle.
I only take it because I train fasted.0
