Hello, my name is Amanda. I've had a myfitnesspal account for a while now. Over the summer, I tried the website out and I lost four pounds. After that, my boyfriend moved in with me, and it all went down hill from there. We both got fat and happy. So now, together we're going to do my fitnesspal. He's not quite as overweight as I am, but it helps to be supportive of each other. But, I would also like community involvement. He's only 20 pounds overweight, while I on the other hand ....I am 100 pounds overweight :( My goal is to get down to a healthy BMI index. I'm not aiming for a size in jeans or anything, just healthy. I am guilty of getting a little boost.

Once my boyfriend moved in, those 4 pounds plus 20 more tacked on fast. I had some recent foot problems, so when I went to the doctor for my feet, I let out a cry for help with my weight. To help boost my start, I have been prescribed Phentermine. I've been on it since 1/21/12 and it's been two days and I've lost 3 pounds. I've also been going to the gym and eating healthy with the help of fitness pal and my doctor's tips. I hope to continue my weight loss. I know that eventually I will not be on Phentermine and I will need to do all of this on my own. Wish me luck!

I feel you on the "fat and happy." Before we got married, my wife and I really packed it on. Last year, she got a gastric bypass, though, and I was left behind in Fat Land :) So now I'm doing my damnedest to get myself in shape and avoid invasive surgery.

Best of luck to you on your journey as well!
