How many lbs did you lose to actually notice the start of your weight lose? I have 40-50 lbs to lose.

I started noticing in the mirror after about 12lbs.

In my past experiences, other people take much longer to notice - around 30lbs before they dare to mention it.

After about 4 pounds, but that's only because I am a tiny person.

I can only notice if I compare it to older pictures. Other than that I don't really see anything.

I think it was probably 15-20 pounds.

Between 10 - 15 lbs I noticed it for the first time that my clothes started fitting better. That was last year. Now I am at 6 lbs and haven't noticed anything yet; definitely not by looking at myself.

Yeah personally I can't "see" the change even when I was at 38 pounds lost, I see myself every day so it's got to be a pretty drastic change.. but family I hadn't seen in 18 months... they sure noticed. When I compare old pictures to ones taken recently I can see it, but the day to day seeing myself takes away from the "how much change" is noted

But the fact that I am 3 notches tighter on the belt... yeah that blows away the mirror :)

About 5 lbs, but then again i only had about 20 to loose.
  • 17 pounds down and I don't notice at all unless I look at old pictures... which can be scary haha

I really didn't notice until I grabbed the pair of pants I wore at my heaviest and put them up against myself. But I have a lot to lose and have only lost 41lb so Im hoping to physically notice more soon.

I've been doing this since beginning of January and gained almost 3 pounds, but my exercise and diet are all good, so that was disappointing. I keep telling myself it is muscle, but today I am now back to my starting weight... ;-) Woo Hoo. I hear this is normal to gain a little at first, but looking forward to the time I can show some weight lost and start to see it too. Good luck on your journey.

I noticed around 40 and a few people commented but when I hit 80lbs I keep geting commetns left and right. I guess they decided ti was enough to not be awkward to ask if I was losing weight.

Believe it or not I can notice a SMALL change at just a 4 pound loss. It probably depends on how much you have to lose too. I can see the change more if I look at pictures. Pictures are essential for you to visualize your success even if the number on the scale is not quite showing it so much. My "mommy tummy" looks atleast an inch smaller in my pictures a definite notice. Still got lots of work ahead of me though!
