...that dealt with eating healthy on a budget!!!

I know I just recently read a thread about this where someone suggested buying a roast chicken from Wal-Mart or Costco and eating that throughout the week etc....if there are any other threads that have tips and suggestions about how to eat healthy on a small budget, that would be awesome!!!

I'm having the same problem...but I'm finding a way to work around it.

I've just been buying lot's of fruits and vegetables...especially the ones on sale. Lot's of lettuce! And I buy hummus and make sure I have peanut butter (1 tablespoon of PB on an apple makes a great low cal snack for me)....tuna is pretty cheap too....rice and beans can make a pretty nutritious meal with veggies. The chicken idea is a good one, but I would buy a whole chicken and cook it yourself...then you know whats on it. Lot's of low fat yogurts too!! They are pretty cheap! My problem is I have a husband and two kids to feed too!! Luckily my kids eat pretty healthy so they eat what I eat.
