Any suggestions on different options for avocados?

    Smashed on toast with salt, pepper and Tabasco = awesome breakfast.
    In a salad with prawns/salmon/crab sticks, salad leaves and cherry vine tomatoes.

    homemade quacamole.....

    mash avacado, add:

    tomato
    cilantro
    vidalia onion
    lime juice
    jalepeno pepper
    a bit of salt
    garlic

    not sure of measurments, I just kind of put it together and taste test and add more of something if I feel like its missing.

  • Mash 1 avocado and mix with chopped tomato, cilantro, lemon or lime juice, onion, garlic, salt and pepper, and then use it as a sandwich spread, just 10 gm, about a tsp is 18 calories and enough to flavor the sandwich and also give you some healthy fat which you need
  • Mashed up with a little bit of salt... put on a tostada shell... Yummy.

    A little extreme, but it makes a great raw pudding. Puree with agave, cocoa camino, coconut oil and vanilla, chill for a great vegan/raw treat.

    on a sandwich. Iuse whole grain toast, sliced avocados, cream cheese and sundried tomatoes. I also likle them on salads, they go well with olives, tomatoes, peppers, corn and on and on

    avocado tuna smash (smash avo & tuna together)

    avos are so mild in flavor they can go in just about anything

    I usually just mash and eat on toast in the morning...
    you can look up recipes for guacamole too.. If you google "how to eat an avocado" it will give you all kinds of idea.

    I don't eat bread or chips, so for a snack, I put salt on them (having that right now) and eat them by the slice. I also like to put them on a grilled chicken breast instead of mayo or ketchup (which I also do not eat). My husband puts them on top of his sweet potato.

    I don't really care for avacado except in guacamole and sushi, so those are the only options I have to offer.

    Yum - just mixed up tuna with avocado yesterday and couldn't believe how delicious it was! Also added a little onion and shredded carrot to the mix. I love avocados!

    I eat it with salt, on toast, or pore fresh salsa on it and eat it like that or with crackers

    Hi,

    In each half of the avocado put in prawns. For a healthy sauce use organic natural yoghurt mixed with lemon juice and tomato ketchup--gives a prawn cocktail taste without the added calories

    It's sooo amazing! Also tastes heavenly with guacamole. You cut one piece of cooked bacon in half, smear a little guac on one piece, and eat it like a tiny sandwich of love.

    One of the simplest delicious ways to have avocado:
    Cut in half
    Remove pit
    Score surface, leaving it inside the peel like a little bowl
    Sprinkle with a bit of salt and your favorite chili powder (check out www.spicehouse.com for the best selection ever!)
    Squeeze lime over surface
    Eat with spoon

    And you can add a banana for chocolate banana pudding.......mmmmmmmm. It's so decadant!

    Great ideas! I could eat avocados just by themselves.. had some today sliced in a salad with chicken.

    You can mash it with a fork and add greek yoghurt and cumin/salt/pepper and it makes a nice salad dressing.

    Also a favorite deli type sandwich of mine, toasted whole grain bread, with kraft olive oil mayo, melted provolone, a generous layer of sliced smoked turkey, and dressed with bean sprouts (or lettuce if you don't like them) & a sliced quarter to half of an avocado.

    Yum.

    I love fresh avocado.

    Vegetarian Avocado and Veggie Wrap:
    fresh avocado
    red, orange, and yellow sweet bell peppers
    onion
    garlic
    red pepper
    fresh spinach
    lite cream cheese
    low calorie/low carb tortilla

    Sautee peppers, onion and garlic with olive oil spray
    Spread about 1tbsp cream cheese on tortilla
    Sprinkle red pepper over the cream cheese
    add onion, peppers, avocado and spinach
    wrap and eat!

    One wrap is about 250 calories.
  • ripe avocados, an ounce or two, spread on bread with tomato, turkey and swiss...yummm. Eggs with peppers, onions, mushrooms, spinach topped with avocado.... turkey burgers with avocado instead of ketchup...LOVE AVOCADOS! :)
