Water is becoming boring?! What should I add to it??

I drink water for the most part everyday all day but I have found myself picking up a soda bc I get tired of just water. I don't want to add to my calories bc I'm already having a hard time staying at or under my 1600 allowance a day. Any suggestions?

I think Crystal Lite has very low calories, if any. Or try adding some lemon and/or lime.

Sliced oranges are nice. Little sweeter than lemon or lime, but I like those too!

Ice. It's almost like crunchy water.

I almost always have a couple of lemon slices in my 32oz water bottle. I can't stand drinking just plain water all day! After a workout I will mix in a little Propel pack into to, which does add about 20 calories.

    Love it. :)

Try adding a lemon slice, it freshens it up. Ive also heard of adding frozen cranberries like ice cubes.

    Unsweetened iced tea is good.

Flavored seltzer water - no sweetener (artificial or otherwise) - is good too. Can be an acquired taste.

Cyrstal Light is good. You may also look at Kraft Mio water flavoring drops. I know several people who use those.
  • Have you tried Diet Dr.Hansen soda? I believe most are zero calories

Forgot to mention that I also like to have flavored seltzer water.. I buy a 12 pack of the 12oz cans. It makes for a nice, refreshing change from plain water!
  • I have heard (but haven't yet tried) that fresh sliced cucumbers are awesome if you add them & lots of ice & let it sit for a bit. It's supposed to be really refreshing!
I like Crystal Light (although I use the generic kind) or MiO...they are both calorie free & sugar free as well! YUM!

I like to mix flavored sparkling mineral water with still water. Gives a little bit of fizz and a nice flavor.

Look what I found on Pinterest---recipes for flavored water:smile: . I think the watermelon basil water and the fruit water sounds delish.

Haha I agree! Slivers of ice instead of cubes. You could also freeze fresh fruit in your ice cubes.

I just tried Mio. It's a liquid water enhancer with no calories and no sugar! It's pretty good and you can put just a little in or a lot. Kind gives it a Gatorade taste.
It's about $4.00 for a bottle that is supposed to last about 24 times.

I heard on another thread that if you add anything to water, it's no longer water! *ducks*

Great Value Drink Mix. I like Peach Mango Green Tea, Fruit Punch and Grapes.
  • I've actually tried the cucumbers and it is good. Best to let it set up for a little bit to get the flavor. You can also do sliced strawberries or other kinds of fruit.

I heat my water and put coffee in it, with sweeteners. It's awesome, and still hydrates me! :D

Crystal light has little to no calories – but if you want to stay natural I use these things sometimes.

There is always lemon water – but a lot of ppl don’t like that.

I keep a pitcher in my fridge and add all kinds of things, it only takes a few hours to gain some flavor.

You can cut up an orange and put in.

    Lemons & Limes

    Cucumber is really refreshing.

I also use Stevia w/ my lemon water – it’s like lemonade!!!!

pffttt, real coffee is overrated. Real coffee dehydrates you, fake coffee doesn't. What? What do you mean "where's my proof"? Proof is overrated too, so it seems. :P
