UNSUCCESSFUL LUNCH :-/

So I went to lunch today with a friend at pizza hut. I hadn't been feeling the greatest from a cold or sinus infection and was just blah. I really wanted to just take a nap. She was a little late arriving so I decided to go ahead and get my small salad with dressing on the side and order my personal pan ham and pineapple pizza. My intention was to eat half for lunch then save the other half for supper or lunch the next day. We were talking and I was eating all that was before me. I should have asked for my togo box first thing, but I didn't. Then with only one piece of my personal pan left I said, "I'm just going to finish it" Now I am at work full and have used all my cals for the day...

I didn't pay attention to my body and listen to my stomach saying "I'm full" I didn't give myself a chance to think through what I was doing. So, Ugh. But the thing about this is, it's a lesson learned and I am not going to go on a binge today just because I messed up lunch. I'm staying with it to the end! IN IT TO WIN IT!

I've found that when I'm sick, I tend to eat a lot more and more of the wrong things. Doesn't make sense, because you think a bowl of strawberries would be better than a personal pan pizza, but I think it's comfort thing.
Hang in there! Dinner is another meal, tomorrow is another day!

This happens. If you are really upset about it, you could do a lower cal dinner like a tuna sandwich or something. But dont beat yourself up about it... especially if you learned something from it.
  • I totally had a pizza day yesterday. I don't regret it - accept for the heartburn. lol

I'm back on track today and the good thing I learned yesterday is that no matter how much I want that pizza (my biggest weakness) it makes me, personally, feel like crap when I eat it. It weighs me down and makes my tummy hurt.

It used to not - or at least I never noticed it before when I was eating this stuff all the time.

Since I started eating whole fresh foods all the time and cutting out most of the wheat/bread products I notice this bad side effect a lot more now.

I'm not really beating myself up about it so much as to just feeling the regret of my actions. It's a learning experience and I refuse to go back to my old ways. I love Pizza, and from time to time I will have a little bit of it, I will just monitor alot better than what I did today. I do tend to eat more when I'm sick as well, sick like I am right now anyways. Food has always been comfort to me.
