I'd say not - just weigh up the risk of slipping vs. the risk of carpet burn!0

I prefer carpet for working out since stomping and flopping around on hardwood makes much more noise.0

Regardless of what you have, I would get those rubber mats with the puzzle edges. It saves your floor.
If you are replacing your floors, hardwood floors has a lot more appeal to future home buyers. Also carpets can trap dust and allergens.0 -

I have noticed that regular floor is less slippery. When I work out on my carpet my shoes are constantly slipping.0

Exercise mats aren't a bad choice for hard floors. Sweat on carpet is icky.
For other purposes, I prefer a very low pile carpet runner. :bigsmile:0 -
