Lately i've been going to the gym and I love it but now it's starting to finally hit that I won't be able to go to the gym all the time because of gas in my car or not wanting to drive all the way to the gym (i'm a college student and my college is out in the wilderness far from civilization, not exaggerating) and I just decided whenever I can't go to the gym I might as well run around campus since their are tons of open space and sidewalk lol how do you get motivated to start running and to not stop, I'm so used to the treamill and elliptical it's kind of hard to get started might sound weird but true lol

I had that same feeling before I ever ran outside. You read all the time about it's harder to run outside than on the treadmill but I found the exact opposite to be true. The air is fresh, the ground feels good, and I love watching the scenery and the people as I run. Think of it as something fun to look forward to instead of something scary
If you're new to running, maybe try Couch to 5k..it's a program to build up your running a little bit at a time: http://www.c25k.com/0 -
I love the scenery also and checked out the website and I love the whole program thing, I think i'm going to start it tonight since it feels good foro once instead of freezing0

Awesome!!! If you Google "couch to 5k", some people have made their own versions with different kinds of music, too.0 -
I 100% prefer to run outside instead of indoors. Lots to look at, crank up my music and run. I also run with friends at times and go between having some conversation and listening to music...this makes the run seem much faster.
On a side note never run on a sidewalk if possible, they are usually uneven and it is too easy to trip and fall. Always when possible run on the street facing traffic0 -
I prefer outdoor running to a treadmill any day of the week, 20 degrees or 100 degrees! The treadmill is so boring and I swear time goes by twice as slow. For me, I need the distraction of scenery, other people, and measureable distance progress. I have had to run on the treadmill twice in the last week and my knees are killing me! I know everyone is different, but once you start running outside, I'll be surprised if you are not hooked:)0
