Wanting to lose baby weight plus a little more

Hi!
I'm new to this site and looking for others with similar goals. I have an 8 month old and want to lose my baby weight plus some weight that i had before the baby... I'm finding that it was much easier to lose weight pre-baby since i had time to work out whenever i wanted. Now it's much harder to fit a good gym work out with taking care of Brady and fighting the over tired state of being (he still isn't sleeping through the night) :)

Anyway - i've noticed when i take a day off of this site i go downhill so i'm hoping finding people in the same boat as me will even keep me more motivated and so I can help to motivate them when they have an off day! :)

  • Same here Hey girl!! Im 35 just had a baby 4 1/2 months ago and Im already trying to get rid of the extra weight! I joined the Y(mca) again & Im a runner so I hit the treadmill and I also do Zumba! You should try it its fun even if you dont do all the steps correct just KEEP MOVING! You know you have done something if you leave with a drenched shirt (armpits and back LOL) I go in the mornings since my daughter is up early I get her dressed and fed and we hit the road! I have a 17 yr old and a 10 yr old as well so I definetly have to get back into the swing of things! GOOD LUCK
  • Hello to both of you! I'm in the same situation. I'm a first time mom of a 7 month old daughter and struggling to return to my pre-pregnancy body. Prior to pregnancy I was pretty fit and active but after a rough pregnancy and being placed on bed rest for the majority of the pregnancy my body went down hill rather quickly. I'm determined to be back in shape by her first birthday and my 5th wedding anniversary! I've got 5 months and 25 pounds to go! Please feel free to add me!

Hello ladies! I'm so glad I'm not alone! My baby boy is only one month but I have to get back into shape quickly because I am in the military so I was thrilled when I found the MFP app! Add me if you want. I'm 169 and I'm trying to get down to 130. I'm usually horrible at dieting but I'm pretty determined now so I'm wanting to keep my motivation up. Good luck to you all!

I'm in the same boat....my daughter is 4 1/2 months. But I was blessed with a little on that sleeps. So I am able to get up bright and early in the morning when my husband leaves for work to get a work out in and ready for work before she gets up. I haven't had a chance to use it yet but we got her a Johnny Jump Up so when I'm working out she can too! :0 ) But I have been able to get it in in the morning when she is sleeping. That might be something to try. I have also read that it's good to exercise with them. Do you have a carrier or sling you could use? I am starting to get addicted to my treadmill. I have started to notice a little change in my butt....so I want to keep going! :0 ) Good luck...and I hope Brady starts sleeping through the night soon!
  • I am in the same situation as all of you on here. My daughter will be 1 in a few weeks. I had a c-section delivery so I had to wait at least 6 weeks before I could start any aerobic workouts. When that 6 weeks came, I jumped right in. I lost 12 pounds in the 6 weeks after I started. When I went back to work is when I let that all go. Who has time to exercise right? Well I have found that getting up before the baby and working out is a much better way to start the day. I feel so energized and ready to teach. I work with special needs children, so this requires A LOT of energy!

Hi! My son is 14 months old and I've lost the baby weight, but I still need to lose the weight I had put on pre-pregnancy. I struggle with sticking to working out and am also looking for friends in the same boat.

I am the mom of a 15 month old and lost 55 lbs. so far! Feel free to add me as a friend. This site is great for support!!! If I can do it, anyone can! :-)
  • I've been trying different things to lose just a little weight. I'm not massively overweight but my day job is an office job and I have been putting on a little much weight. I was gonna try a "body flush" that I've been reading about. It should clear out toxins as well as helpfully let me lose a little weight.

  • ANY NURSING MOMS? I am the mom of a seven month old and two year old. They were 12 lbs 1 ounce and 10 pounds even, both c-section deliveries, so my abdomen is a wreck! I have lost my pregnancy/baby weight, but need to lose 16 more to be healthy. I found with my first son, who I nursed until he was a year, that although people say when you are nursing the weight just "falls off you," I find that my body does NOT allow me to drop weight fast while nursing. I work very hard to lose a pound a week. Are any other moms out there experiencing this challenge with nursing?

I am a mom of a 15 month old Lil boy. I was on the bigger side before I got pregnate and gained 70lbs during my pregnancy. I have managed to lose 57 lbs since having my son but I would still like to lose 60+ more pounds. I am newer to this site and am looking for motivation. I want to be able to run and play with my son with out killing over... Lol
  • I had my little girl 4 months ago. So far I have only lost 10 out of the 50lbs I gained with her. Now I'm struggling with finding time to not only exercise but to eat. I find myself so wrapped up in her wants and needs that I completely ignore all hunger signals I have (not intentionally of course) until I'm starving. This leads me to binge on anything I can get my hands on. While on the bright side I haven't gained any more weight, I know I have to treat my body better. I need eat better and lose this baby weight for good!
