Why am I trying to lose 35 lbs when I'm going to try getting pregnant in 3 months?
I'm trying to prove to myself I can do it. I'm afraid I'll let myself go again...

Maybe losing the weight to have a better home for the first 9 months for baby?0 -
Being healthy and fit will only benifit u and your baby when it comes to having a healthy pregnancy and successful labor. Also, the healthier u are going in, the easier it will be to lose weight after the baby is born. Good luck!0

If you get into good habits now, you will be able to keep from gaining excessive weight during pregnancy. If you continue to exercise, you will have more energy and maybe even an easier labor.0

*Being fit may increase your fertility.
*You're not just overweight, you *got* overweight. WIth poor habits. Wouldn't it be nice to spend these months gaining *better* habits, so that you are a healthier mom who increases her chances of having a healthier baby?
*So that you, potentially, have less weight to lose after pregnancy.
*Why not? It may take you a year, or more, to get pregnant. You have NO idea what the future will bring. Focus on the present. Not in an imagined future that hasn't happened yet.0 -
Thats awesome....hope its a boy...everyone should have a big brother.:-)
standard stuff cut back on food...and exercise...I'm trying to lose 25....but I'm
not a female just a grandfather with an appreciation of motherhood....daughters and
wife. Get fit and your pregnancy will be better on you and the new baby.0 -
Once you do become pregnant share your concerns with your doc and ask for a meal plan to keep you healthy. I developed CHF after giving birth to my 7th baby back in July. The weight may have been a factor. I was 231 when I delivered.0

I can't get pregnant UNLESS I lose weight....
But I feel you. Doing all this hard work would suck if I gain another 80 pounds like with the last pregnancy.
So:
I lose the weight, I gain energy, and I enjoy a long life with my miracle baby son that I'm beyond blessed to have in the first place.0 -
Whats the plan for after?0

If you are careful, you may not even gain back the amt you lost. I lost 35 pounds got pg (total miracle), and gained 37(i really ate whatever i wanted) This was ALL before MFP!!! ...Im SOO giad I lost that 35 before hand..I felt like a blimp as it was, but to add another 35 to what I was- YIKES!!!
As others have said...losing weight can only be benficial for both you and the baby!!0 -

I found that losing weight in between pregnancies made it easier to conceive, easier pregnancies, and easier deliveries. My last pregnancy and delivery was my best! I was working out and watching what I ate and that delivery was awesome! It also makes it easier to lose the weight later when you get yourself into a workout routine and you burn that baby weight cause you have muscle mass before you deliver! You can do this and you are smart to prepare yourself ahead of time! You and your little one are going to be healthy because of it! Great job and keep up the good work!0

I lost 23 pounds and got pregnant with 7 pounds to go.
Why lose the weight now?
-You will already be used to being active and eating healthy
-You will have less to lose when baby comes
-You will feel better overall during the pregnancy
Totally send me a friend request if you want extra support!0
