Drinking Epsom Salts

Some of you may think this is strange.

My FIL was a physician trained at the Sarbonne nearly 90 years ago. He was an extraordinary man who among other things injected himself with equine hormones, injected his own blood into his own muscle, etc....all things he learned during that time. He lived to be 105, and learned to speak Italian at 87 years old.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that he would drink Epsom salts dissolved in water once a month. According to him, it cleansed his body of toxins and dead cells remaining in the bowels.

My DH does this as well. Whenever he feels blue or down and his body aches (both physical and mental symptoms of fatique) he drinks the same. He is better in about 8 hrs after the treatment. Warning though, it can cause diarrhea (short term) and vomiting.

I don't know if anyone else has heard of this, but we use it and other things similar to this. It really clears the mind too. But I've never heard of anyone else doing this.

I have heard sea salt but I assume it is very similar. The salt can not be processed by the kidneys and (In Theory) will go through your entire digestive system and help cleanse it. If it works I can't say for sure. I tried it a few times and I did have to "go" but I can't speak to any physical or mental changes. I didn't notice any.

I think sea salt is different.

Only difference is that we take it without any sweetener or grapeffruit. Just straight epsom salt in water.

    It's another way to detox.
