Just started on this site. I gained 60 pounds through my cancer treatments. I am struggling with fatigue and the fact that I need a hip replaced at 45. I am also on hormone meds. I have yo-yo dieted most of my adult life, and am ready to get off the rollercoaster!

Hi Carstell, I too have had breast cancer, a year and a half ago. I find I am having a hard time on the Tamoxifen. Though I work out 6 times a week, I am struggling losing. I had lost 70 pounds before cancer, and worked out every time I could during surgery and treatment and watched what I ate. I had some issues after finishing treatment, which ended up being a hernia, but was 7 months of misdiagnosis and then not able to work out like I need to. So couple that with the Tamoxifen, and I have put some back on. My jeans are tight and I do not want to slide backwards...I worked too hard. I do find that just exercising, whether I mentally wanted to or not, combated the fatigue I had through and after radiation. I have been having hip and joint problems, but again think some is drug related. Perhaps you can get to a YMCA or some place with a pool and work out that way. It won't put the stress on your hip. I need to really cut back and loose another 30. I know you can reach whatever goal you have too, just keep plugging....it's for our health and LONG life!!!!
