Not huge, but a victory none the less!

In 2010, I lost 25 lbs and almost got out of the 200s. Then my life took over and I gained ALL of that back plus an extra 8 lbs just for trying. LOL. So at the beginning of the year I weighed in at my highest weight ever (non pregnancy)....236.4. I was so totally disgusted with myself. I couldn't believe that I had allowed myself to get that heavy. So I started eating a lot less, and eating healthier things and the weight has been steadily coming off. I haven't been able to work out much this month, but I haven't let that stop me from keeping up with eating better.
This morning, just like every morning, I weighed myself. I like to do it every morning just to make sure that I'm staying on track. Well, lo and behold, I saw 229.4!!!!! I've not only lost 7 lbs this month (so far), but I'm out of the 230's. I am SO happy and I am so grateful. I am NEVER going back there again. My appetite has changed...I'm not nearly as hungry as I used to be. I can eat a little and be completely satisfied. I don't want chocolate or wine or candy. If I want a reward, I drink green tea with honey. I'm making such good progress and I am so proud of myself. :-)

Congrats! We're not gonna lose all that weight over night, so it's important that we celebrate "small" steps like this. And you've achieved a lot for just one month!0

That is great! Reading your post today really inspired me! Last year I realized I have reached 250lbs!! I cut way back on eating and lost 23lbs...then I got off track and gained some back. I was at 235lbs on 1-15-1. Once again I am starting to watch what I eat... you inspired me!0

Wait...did I write this or did you? This is me almost to a T! I weighed 242 last June. Lost about 15 lbs and then gained some back. I started this month at 235.4. The day I weighed 229 I was so happy, I felt skinny for a few minutes. (Then I looked in the mirror) Today, I weighed in at 226.4 so I know EXACTLY how you feel getting out of the 230's! Now I'm ready to say bye-bye to the 220's! Good Luck and Keep it up!
