.....have the entire catalog of only 5 bands/artists to listen to, who would they be?
Somebody I could either mate with or eat....hmmmm.....

    ..........SCARY answer............

    ;)

quite the variety on here - you can certainly tell everyone's musical tastes!

    Pink Floyd (post Syd Barrett)
    Dire Straits
    Steely Dan
    Led Zeppelin
    The Alan Parson's Project

I know I know... I was born in the wrong decade, man!

    I like your island.

    Led Zeppelin
    The Beatles
    A Perfect Circle
    Johnny Cash

Now my 5th is iffy - I'd want some dance/hip-hop now and then so I'm thinking Timberland because he's featured in just about every song that I like in that genre. Not sure if a featured artist counts though... If not, I'll go with Missy Elliot

    Disturbed
    Slipknot
    System of a Down
    Korn
    Pink Floyd

    :drinker:
And some people to mosh with great calorie burn there lol
  • Joy Division
    Radiohead
    The Smiths
    Manic Street Preachers
    Bonobo

Why so depressing? Well, I'm going to be more alienated and isolated than ever, alone on a desert island, so I might as well be able to relate to something! The last one was added on in case I actually want to be productive and/or functional on this island rather than spend the whole time wallowing.

I think your island would definately be close to mine and I'd have to raft over to get my fill. Moshing alone sucks. :drinker:

I would rather be banished to a dessert island.

    Thank you.

    The The/Matt Johnson
    Smiths/Morrissey
    The Bangles
    The Guess Who

No breaks for Johnny Marr since he'd be working double duty. Pink Floyd would have to be on standby, but only if Waters shows up. The Bangles could play in the band at times, but hey this IS A DESERT ISLAND.... boom chicka, pow wow

    journey./ with steve perry
    zz top
    aerosmith
    foreigner

u can tell i am old hehe (i prefer the term cougar LOL)

    Good list!

I prefer a little bit of variety - so I'll switch Led Zepplin with Toby Keith, ZZ Top with Def Leppard, and wow, I love Foreigner, but I think I need something with some mellow grooves, so give me Norah Jones.

    That makes my list:
    Toby Keith
    Def Leppard
    Norah Jones
    Journey
    Aerosmith

And I'll be hoping some of you guys show up with your music so we can share. : ) Fun post, by the way!

I read this as Dessert Island. That sounds pretty nice.

    The Who
    Queen
    The Rolling Stones

Those are the three I would definitely have, and I could probably get by a lot of the time just listening to theirs even not on a desert island. Sometimes, though I want something different. So I might go with:

    The Grass Roots
    David Bowie

For the last two. I think that could do it. :)

This is a great list, just the motivation I would need to swim for it.
  • Brad Paisley
    Toby Keith
    Garth Brooks
LMFAO (c'mon, I am stuck on an island with nothing to do, at least they will entertain me! Plus I will dance!)
Justin Timberlake (or some old school NSYNC or Backstreet Boys. Again, at least I will have fun singing and dancing.)
