Hello Everyone,
I was just wondering how to actually measure a teaspoon or a tablespoon of stuff. A tablespoon of olive oil or a table spoon of french dressing is pretty standard....but for dense foods like peanut butter, butter, powdered milk, mayonnaise..how do you measure them? Is it a level tablespoon or a slightly heaped tablespoon? I don't want to go over my calories.... Help anyone?

measurements are always level, cupfuls or spoonfuls.
In cooking you would say take a cup of flour and run the knife across it to get an exact measurement.
(I don't cook that way but it 's how I was taught , and I don't eat flour...but you know what I mean!)0 -
Thank you Kymmu... I guess I have been underestimating the calories.... Especially with peanut butter!0
