Couple of Questions

Yesterday, while at the gym one of the trainers approached me and asked me when we're going to start training. I responded "I don't know, when are we?", but made an appointment with him for tomorrow. The gym I go to is pretty inexpensive and I know the training sessions are too.
Do any of you work out with a trainer? After the birth of my last son (8 years ago) I worked out with a trainer and loved it. My husband is apprehensive because he said "he just wants to &%^* you".
I highly doubt the trainer approached me just because he wants to get some. I saw his schedule was quite solid and I'm sure the gym management is pushing them for the additional sales.
Secondly do any of you take any thermogenics? I have a good friend who is a trainer and body builder. He swears by OxyELITE Pro. Any of you ever taken this stuff? I'm curious as to whether or not it makes you feel like you're speeding.
Goalwise I really want to lower my body fat. I'm not overweight, but my body fat is kind of high for my size (around 31%).

Once when my baby bunnies were a bit younger, I shared a personal trainer with a few other mommies. It was good in that there was someone to push you.
However, because I had to share, I didn't get all the personal attention I felt would have helped me even more.
I'd enjoy having a personal trainer again, but I'd like one who's into the science of the body and fitness. I'm a sciency-kind of gal.
Occasionally try thermogenics. Don't know how effective they are, as I never really did any serious note-taking. Nothing ever made me feel like speeding, though.0 -

Yep, i'm in charge of what we do though, i got one to teach me, i am my own motivation.Secondly do any of you take any thermogenics?
I often use an ECA stack, cheaper than 99% of the commercial thermo"gimmicks" out there and very effective. You feel a bit warmer, and a little hyper for a few hours, the intense focus is really nice that definitely helps in the gym and at work.0 -
How often do you take the ECA stack? Just before your workout?0

Any assessment or free personal training session I've has has been poorly organized an uninspirational and I couldn’t imagine paying someone on average $50 an hour to yell "harder" at me and tell me to keep going. If you want to do weights, read the instructions on the machines, you want to push yourself harder in cardio do a spin class.
I'm sure there are good trainers out there but none that I’ve met at 3 different gyms, its sad when you can't sell yourself and you need to in order to survive. The “free” part of my sessions has little to do with the quality of trainer, if you want me to hire you then make a good impression during our first session, it doesn’t have to be 100% effort due to the free aspect but it needs to be a ‘hellova’ lot better than what I’ve experienced.0 -
I work out with a trainer 2x a week and I love it. I'm still in a position that I need that person (that I trust) outside my family, pushing, encouraging and questioning me. I'm getting a lot better, but I still like knowing he's there.0

I work in a gym and I can all but guarantee you he's just trying to get some sales. I know our company is doing a push on our trainers to book more sessions since it's resolution season and all. That being said, I worked out with a trainer before I started working at the gym (and I still do), and I adore her. She pushes me to challenge myself. Not to mention, she knows lots of cool ways for me to use different equipment that I would have never considered. Because of my work schedules (I have 2 jobs), I only get to workout with her once a month or so, but I always look forward to it.0

2 times daily for about 6 - 8 weeks. If you take it much longer than that your body gets too used to it and you'll need higher doses (which isn't very safe)
Some people do take an ECA stack just on the day they set personal records, but that is for the focus and energy, not for fat loss.
If anyone would like to know how to get an ECA stack you can PM me since I'm pretty sure i can get in trouble with MFP for talking too much about it.0 -
I saw the guy today. He really kicked my *kitten*. I didn't sign up yet though. SEssions are reasonable around $35/session.0
