I've got no advice, but you have awesome hair.0 -
Have any panko crums?0
-
16 oz (2 large) skinless boneless chicken breasts, cut into even bit sized pieces
salt and pepper to taste
2 tsp olive oil
6 tbsp whole wheat Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
2 tbsp panko
2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
olive oil spray0 -
Bread crumbs would work. Just crush some of the cornflakes really fine and then have larger chunks of cornflakes - would probably accomplish the same thing.0

or.....this one
•1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
•1/4 cup flour
•1/4 tsp paprika
•1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
•1 egg white
•1/4 cup low fat buttermilk
•1 cup cornflakes, crushed0 -
do you have corn starch? You could use that instead. If not, just dry the chicken off really well with a paper towel, then dip it in the eggs and toppings The flour sucks the moisture out of the chicken so the egg will cling on, but it still works if you just dry the chicken really well... i've done this before.0

you can use breadcrumbs or crush up some crackers. if you let the chicken sit in the fridge for half an hour after coating it with the crumbs, the coating will stick pretty well and then you can do the final dip in egg and cornflakes to get that nice crispy outer coating.0

I would just omit the flour, dipping the chicken in eggs will help the cornflakes to stick to it. Sounds good!0

Skip the flour, double the cornflakes. Take half of them, put them in a baggie, and pulverize them until they are the same consistency as flour- than use the cornflake dust in place of the flour.
I'm a mom that cooks all the time...and I run out of stuff a LOT.0 -

no corn starch! but thanks maybe ill just dry it up0 -
The Flour is to help make the egg stick on a bit better which in turn makes the cornflakes stick to the egg better. But it works great without the flour as well. I bread chicken all the time without flour.
When I'm out of eggs and flour. I just dip my chicken in water first then bread it.0 -
Yeah you definitely don't need flour. Just pat it really dry with paper towels and do the egg & cornflake/breadcrumbs!0
-
You don't necessarily need breadcrumbs, but if you really want to use it, go look in the bulk section of the grocery store and just scoop out by eyeballing it what you think you need. I do that all the time, makes things so much easier and cheaper.0

go on to www.skinnytaste.com and there's a good recipe for them on there0

You can use bread crumbs, cracker crumbs, crush any unsweetened cereal, corn meal. I never use the whole egg, just the whites and then dip them in the crumbs and season to taste. Yummy!0
