So Every morning I sit down with my bowl of oatmeal and end up getting more and more and more until I am at 800 calories!
Somebody tell me how to NOT do this. Geeez

measure it out and then put it away? Drink lots of water before and during eating?

Try this: (and always use the stove, if you have to make it that way every time you eat it you'll eat less)

  • after you finish go for a walk, and if your making it don't make as much, or if you love oatmeal so much use it as a treat/reward after you exercise ect you'll feel good and look forward to your next meal ! :)

If you keep getting up and refilling your bowl it may help to portion out the rest and pop it in the fridge/freezer. You could also add more to your oatmeal to round it out and fill you up more. Berries, a few chopped nuts. Eat it with a big glass of water so you have a bite, wait, sip water, eat more. With some foods it takes my stomach way longer to tell me that I'm full, so it can help to slow down.

After your bowl you can also rinse your mouth with water and quickly and gently brush your teeth. The toothpaste flavor could stop you from wanting to eat more.
