Can someone please explain the MFP lingo/acronyms/slang to me?? Such as: NSV and bump? I feel like a total dumbass but I don't know what you people are saying!!! ... thanks

    NSV = Non-Scale Victories (ie - you've learned to not crave crappy food)
    *bump* is used to push a topic thread higher in the list, so it gets more views.

    Bump is a general forum thing. You post so that the post goes back to the Recent Posts list and you write "bump". It's also a way for the readers to see you'd like them to partake in the thread.

    The other one i don't know...

    Bump! There you go I've "bumped" the threat into the top of the Recent Posts list... ;)
  • Some use BUMP so the thread shows under their MY TOPICS for future referance.
