I am trying to lose 30# by May 1st. Is 1-2# a good number to lose per week? Seems like its just not enough!

Its a safe way to lose weight but each of us are all different.0

1-2 pounds is a good number to aim for, however as you have less weight to lose it will probably become a bit more difficult to hit that mark. Adjust accordingly, and remember to track your measurements/body fat % estimation. Just because your weight doesn't change doesn't mean your body isn't.0

If you have 75+ lbs to lose 2 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 40-75 lbs to lose 1.5 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 25-40 lbs to lose 1 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 15 -25 lbs to lose 0.5 to 1.0 lbs/week is ideal, and
If you have less than 15 lbs to lose 0.5 lbs/week is ideal0 -
1-2 lbs is good, it will add up quickly, 2 lbs a week is 8-10 lbs a month so in 4 months your talking 32-40 lbs. good luck0

I guess I never really thought of how quick it does add up. I just hate how long it takes and how long it takes to notice. :noway:0

I agree with the people who posted before me! 2 pounds max per week is the healthiest, but depending on your body you could lose more. Good luck!0
