I've seen many recipes for cauliflower pizza crust but never tried them because the calories seem high just for the crust. So this is my version
Cauliflower pizza crust low cal
1 cup raw cauliflower
1 egg
1 glove garlic, chopped fine
dash each of thyme, basil, and oregano
heat oven to 450
cook cauliflower in microwave until done and rice (chop finely).
allow to cool then combine with egg and garlic. mix well.
spoon onto greased non stick pan (mine made 6-8 in round)
bake15 mins or until golden.
add sauce and toppings and broil for 3-4 mins until cheese is melted.
the crust alone is around 100 calories.
Many recipes call for cheese in the crust and i didnt think it was necessary. you will need a fork to eat this but it is delicious!
enjoy!

If I want to eat "pizza" with a fork I will try without cheese. Until then, the best way to get a more hand-holdable crust is to add the cheese. I use sticks of Weight Watchers' String cheese, and it isn't too much of a calorie bust. Thanks for posting!0 -

@ tmarie2715 I agree if you want pizza that you can hold you will have to add cheese. However most other recipes i saw add a cup of cheese and the crust alone is 400 calories.0

I will have to give this a try. Thanks!
ETA: This may be a stupid question, but would using only egg whites work? Less calories but still do the job?0 -

Hmm I might have to try this one. I have been looking at the cauliflower crust and wanting to try it but I was also not really happy about all the cheese in the crust. I wouldn't mind trying both recipes. Maybe adding a touch of cheese or something? Hm, either way I want to try this.0
