Veggies and fruits (though veggies are carbs they are slow burning carbs and have a minimal effect on the blood sugar and therefore help with weight loss). And for fruits apples are great.
I know you don't want to eat carbs but if could choose the high fiber version of the carbs you do eat it may help.
I personally love the new pastas they have out with lots of protein and fiber in them, spoon sized shredded wheat and also I love Citrucel for fiber.

haha always something i struggle with

I use fiber supplements, gummies right now - but they are pretty expensive. I also have been known to consume very large quantities of spinach in order to stay regular.

Fiber supplements, Konjac root fiber pills are great for getting in your daily fiber. I'm eating low carb, high protein and I take these and have no problems :-) LOL

Benefiber is great... It's a fine power that mixes into pretty much anything. You'll never know it's there, since it's tasteless/odorless.

Two teaspoons is 4 carbs and 3 fiber which is a NET CARB count of 1. It's a good compromise.

I am currently on a high protein plan and and I have the same mid morning snack every day 1/4 cup of fiber one original cereal mixed with 100 calorie pack natural almonds and walnuts. It sure does "work" if ya know what I mean.
  • Brocolli. Fresh & lightly steamed works well for me. Very low in carbs and high in very effective fiber.

For some reason, fiber tablets and other fiber supplements are completely ineffective for me.
  • Ground flax seed is great for me, sprinkle a tablespoon over your breakfast or over salads, into soup etc. It's got great omega 3 apparently. Think it's protein as well but not high. 3 tablesppoons a day works for me!
  • I spoke of black beans because the carbs were a little less than the protein, and are excellent source of fiber. As for vegetables, most are are very low in carbs. Potatoes, peas, and parsnip are the exceptions.

Depending on how much fiber and how few carbs you are looking for:

Ground flax seed adds 4 grams of fiber and 4 carbs - and also 3 grams of protein - this is in 1 serving (2 TBSP) ... you could add this to turkey burgers or something else you're eating... even sprinkle on a salad.

Quaker unprocessed bran - one serving is 1/3 cup - I add this to my meatloaf (turkey). It is 8 grams of fiber per serving but comes in at 11 carbs...

Just a couple of ideas. Also, you might want to check out Chia Seeds... One ounce of chia seeds gives you 11 grams of fiber and 12 carbs.

@stacywx2 - great recommendation! It's always best to get your dietary requirements from food. I would have thought that would be a no brainer? Beans and vegetables are so much more than just fiber. They include proteins, mineral, vitamins and healthful phytochemicals that are not found in fiber pills. And they fill your stomach stimulating those baroceptors to make you feel less hungry. :)

Thank you so much everyone! Love all the suggestions! I think I'm going to try using natural and raw foods first, and if that doensn't help...I am going to try Benefiber.

EVERYONE HAVE A BLESSED DAY!! :)

I toss a tablespoon of ground flax into my protein shakes. Make sure you drink enough water during the day and try to get in some veggies - I can usually eat one apple a day and not go over on carbs.

Just BEWARE - if you have too much in the course of a day, a side effect that I found was very painful... gas.... :embarassed:
