Blueberries?

I have heard from several people that blueberries help with muscle soreness after a workout. I believe it was that the antioxidants help to repair and protect the muscles from the inflammation from the tears that happen in the muscle. I was wondering if anyone else has tried this or even heard of it and did it work? I will be trying it next week. I mean, even if it isnt true, I love blueberries and they are very nutritious, so, it cant hurt. Just curious.

You know, there might be something in that. I ate blueberries the past 2 mornings before today and I didn't hurt. I didn't have them today and I'm pretty darn achy. Blueberries are awesome no matter what though!0

6oz 2% or less milk
Lecithin
Protein powder
Flaxseed
Life's greens
And a cup of blueberries.
That's my normal morning smoothie. No coffee needed, it really gets you going.0 -

Interesting.
I usually end my day with a fruit smoothie that has a cup of blueberries in it, usually right after my workout. I still have pretty sore muscles when I push myself hard. But maybe not as sore as they would be???
No idea, but like you said, they're yummy and incredibly good for you either way, so you can't lose!0 -
The repair of muscle tissue is done by protein. Muscle soreness is inflammation in the connective tissue.
I doubt blueberries will help with either issue.0 -
