Though I will say another phrase I hear used wrong is "Needless to say..." If you're saying something that the reader doesn't know or can't infer, then it is not "needless to say." Big pet peeve of mine.

I think this falls into the "obviously" category. If it's obvious, it doesn't really need said either. Though the person saying it, is using it as their way of "I told you so" in my opinion! LoL

I'd like to add the word "definitely" to this list. Not to be rude (because I know not all people are spelling wizards), but I don't see how they can spell it "defiantly." I can't tell you how many times I've seen that. That is a whole other word entirely! I can understand "definantly" or "definately"....at this point they're sounding out the word, which makes sense.

I've always been a stickler about spelling. Grammar, I'm less worried about because I know I don't use it correctly. As long as you use some kind of punctuation (even if its just a period) to separate your sentences. OH! An even bigger peeve is when you see someone type a whole paragraph with no punctuation or capitalization whatsoever! It's just one huge run on sentence. I find that so hard to read or even comprehend what they're saying.

Just had to vent! No offense to those who aren't spelling nerds.

It's very important to remember this grammatical rule.

There are one or two cases in which it is acceptable to use an apostrophe to form a plural, purely for the sake of clarity:

you can use an apostrophe to show the plurals of single letters:

I've dotted the i's and crossed the t's.
Find all the p's in appear.

you can use an apostrophe to show the plurals of single numbers:

Find all the number 7’s.

These are the only cases in which it is generally considered acceptable to use an apostrophe to form plurals: remember that an apostrophe should never be used to form the plural of ordinary nouns, names, abbreviations, or numerical dates.
