Any suggestions on how to go about doing this? This is a completely different leg of my journey and as silly as it is, I am kind of scared lol. If my weight went down a few pounds I would mind, but no longer is that my goal. I've taken this journey one step at a time and now I'm trying to firm up my body. I want to look cute in a bikini this summer :) any tips from anyone who has done this?

I have the same aim, so I'm starting to do a lot more weights. The thing is you cannot turn the remaining fat into muscle - you have to continue to burn the fat whilst building the muscle beaneath it.

So yeah, lift heavy things, do cardio but probably less than you are used to, eat healthy things. :-)

No worries on that lol that's been my life for the past 8 months. The problem is I've sort of turned into that "skinny fat" thing

    This!

Also check out the post on lean people trying to get leaner, or the twice a week full body workout by Steve Troutman. He knows what he's talking about.

    Good luck!

Are there any good workout DVDs that can help with strength training?

I don't have access to a gym and don't own heavy weights so I do Jillian Michaels' various DVDs. No More Trouble Zones is strictly strength training using 3-8lb dumbbells. Her DVDs are working for me so far, but i plan on purchasing some heavier weights soon.

decrease body fat even more, so you still have to workout and diet

I agree with earlier poster- Jillian Michaels DVDs ROCK!!! Definitely check her out!! I would also advise that you try a class or two at your gym! Great starting point if nothing else! Right now I'm taking a body sculpt class, doing the 30 Day Shred, and I do one full body workout a week and I've already seen huge differences in my "tone." It's been about less than a month!
