I have always had trouble losing weight around the waist. I have worked retail for many years and have abused my body. I am six feet tall and currently weigh 213 pounds. My ultimate goal is to get to 150. I do cardio 6 days a week for an hour and then I do resistance training for 30 minutes after that. I am getting stronger and losing weight but it seems like the stomach and waist are the last to go. I am making sure I eat the right amount calories now while mywatching sugar and carbs Is there anything I can do about this issue

    Hahahaha...I love it. So true.

My thighs were the last to lose the weight...everyone loses differently!

I agree with above. Just keeping working towards goal. My stomach didn't really start to get smaller until about 40lbs in.

Unfortunately you can't spot reduce like others have said already... usually we lose the belly last as women which sucks! It will come off eventually.

If you are doing ab exercises you may notice a few inches gone just from tighening the muscles underneath and making core muslces stronger... but the fat layer will remain until your body eventually gets there to burn off the fat.

  • It might help to drink lots and lots of water and make sure you're getting enough fiber and probiotics . Those steps wont get rid of fat, but they can help if you're get rid of that bloaty belly feeling. Plus they are great for your overall health :D
  • Thanks everyone. That's what I thought.
